Why do people delete their spoilers? Aren't they functional?

Cheesy plugs are not the standard form here. With the ability to fill the holes and some minor paint the spoiler can be literally shaved. However, the easiest form of resolving this issue is to find a donor v6 car on the road or in a junk yard. Thanks for your input as it's elevated this thread...

Beat me to it. ;) Looks good IMHO.

Just got My Blizzaks on, WOW....

If you, or anyone else, needs some spares I just moved from Indy to Dallas and have my 2 season old set. Shoot me an email/pm and we'll talk. I can't believe anyone would try to navigate on anything else, regardless of the type of car.

Email me a pic, just one, I'll host it for you and email you the link for it. [email protected]

Remove your rear spoiler, you'll be very satisfied, I am.

I got lucky and found a V6 who was willing to trade. Makes me laugh everytime I think about it. That guy is probably still trying to find out "What's wrong w/ it?" That's all he kept saying. Keep looking, you'll find someone. Heck put the add in your sig. There's a ton of V6's around DFW that...

Why do people delete their spoilers? Aren't they functional?

Thanks. Unfortunately I don't have any pics of it after I did all my suspension mods. Oh well, I'll get some this spring. Here's a quick time vid of it at Indianapolis Raceway Park on their road course. Right click save as. I say pull the wing. ;) What ever you decide to do stand by your...

Why do people delete their spoilers? Aren't they functional?

Took mine off for several reasons. Many of which are mentioned here. However, in reality it provides DRAG not down force, there's a difference. I run open track and autocross and have seen 120+ down some straights. The rear end stays just fine. Pics/vids available if necessary. You want down...

    Gauges on the A pilar

naturally aspirated: water temp and oil pressure then maybe oil temp, voltage, super charged: fuel pressure and boost then see n/a setup, unless you have the cash for a wide band O2 sensor, not the a/f stuff from autometer unless you just like pretty lights. Just my 2¢.

    Gauges on the A pilar

FYI you can get matching paint for your interior from Ford. If you go to the parts department they should be able to hook you up. If not I believe Late model mustang has some, or some name like that. Looks good!

    Gauges on the A pilar

Jump on ebay and be prepared to spend about 2/3 what you would on new stuff. I think that with the right gauges it's not too much. However, I'm a bit biased. ;)

    Aluminum driveshaft install?

Should be a simple bolt in operation. USE THE SEARCH function of this site and buy a drive shaft safety loop. Don't know what that is or where to get one use the search. Better yet look at the bottom of this thread for easy links.

thinking of buying 04 gt just wondering how the 99's annd are in the snow?

I had my 2000 gt 5 speed in Indianapolis from winter of 2000 through last year. No problem, buy my snow tires and you'll be fine. ;) Seriously, I've moved to Dallas and don't need them. The power isn't the problem w/ most cars, it's the driver and the tires. Sand bags and Blizzacks, you'll be...

Engine Tower Strut or Sub-Frame Connectors

Been AFK for a while but to answer the question about tweak'n the car while on the lift in the pictures above.... just got finished plumb bobing the car, completely in alingment. So I guess min'es a freak or they knew what they were doing while the car was on the lift. Not pictured was several...

    Kenny Brown subframe connectors

I believe that's correct Brian. In all honesty if you already have subs you should be able to simply weld a 3/4" square tube up and have jacking rails, that's all it is. However, if you're going to get subs and get them from KB you might as well add the rails.

    Serious Safety Question!

Practically none. Matter of fact w/ my fat ass in the seat the seat bottom actually sits on the bar. However the vertical bar has enough clearance to reach your hand in and pull the seat up, adjust lumbar, etc etc. If you get a chance to go to Indy take it and stop by KB's shop. They'll show you...

    Serious Safety Question!

The one I have doesn't hinder exit or entrance at all. The bars come down the side of the seat and then are just under the sides of the bottom of the seat. I did the install, it's a bitch. But very rewarding. The hardest part will be drilling the holes necessary in the rear and actually putting...

Engine Tower Strut or Sub-Frame Connectors

MM, Griggs, Kenny B, etc are typically strong enough to hold the car. The jacking rails just sit closer to the side so you don't have to push the jack so far under the car. Here's a pic of my KB xtreme matrix install. The rails furthest on the sides are the jacking rails. Matter of fact he's...

    Serious Safety Question!

I have a Kenny Brown 6 point bolt in. My car is heavily used daily, an autocross whore, and used for the few OT events I can afford. I've done a lot to the suspension on my car and can honestly say that every bit helps but the one thing that was the most seat of the pants feel good was the cage...
