    Mustang 2003-04 Oem Subframe Connectors

I agree with squeak. A bolt on subframe connector is like gluing one a trailer hitch. It just doesn't help. 3 or 4 bolts can't prevent the body flex these unibodies are subject to. The stock ones from my mach look like you could bend them over your knee. But I'm trying to think of how they...

    Sub Frames

Get good subframe connectors. The factory ones dont really do anything. If you take them off and look at how they're attached and the thickness and type of metal they're made from you'll see. Thin walled brittle metal attached with 6 bolts. Your car will feel so much better with good welded subs.

Where To Apply Silicone On Headlights

Just without the lag. You could pull a Mattstang and never drive the car in the rain, only wash it by hand. Keeps the headlights looking tight.

...and 10 turns to 12...and 12 turns into a chipped piston that unexpectedly fires out your tail pipe when your getting on the interstate.

    Progress Thread Dsg Mach's Mustang

I would get a good dd and slap a blower to it in a heartbeat. That's good advice. Not that a blower is the end of reliability but it does make for a more finicky car. And more potential for things to go wrong. Over 400 hp to the wheel is complicated in the rain and such.

    Do All 3650's Shift Slow??

I've owned 2 different 04 mustangs. Both with 3650s. I get what your talking about. It's real notchy. There seems to be a little resistance before they drop into gear. A t5 is like pushing a sharp knife thru warm butter. They fall right into gear. I have never poeer shifted any transmission...

    Beers All Around

Thanks all. Got the next mod project sitting on boxes so no thinking about buying a blower until that's done. I've never tried schlitz. Ill keep an eye out for it. It better not get totalled. But i keep full coverage, just in case.

Look real good, man. Those series 3s?

    Beers All Around

Paid off the Mach today. I bought the car just under 2 years ago and paid most in cash but thought I'd keep a little cash in hand for incidentals. Today was my last payment. Funny thought, if I would have used the money I've spent in mods to make payments, the car would have been paid off...

Looking good. What springs did you use for your drop? And how the Eaton hunt going?

Can You Identify The Sound In This Video?

Big channel locks are great for checking u- joints. Twist the crap outta that shaft. If there's any slop at all, replace u joints. If you got sooner fun money, put an aluminum drive shaft in that bad girl.

    Thumping Feel

My first post was for the OP. Old88, your situation sounds similar. Tires out of round are worth checking and cheap assurance of a problem before an expensive transmission rebuild or replacement. My 2 cents. Let us know how it goes.

    Build Or Crate

There is a minor difference in price point though. We can build power cheaper than buying the new stuff. But if guys with new stuff start modding the same way, we're back of the pack again. Unless you get real crazy. Crazy costs big money too. Vicious cycle of motorsports.

    Gears

Now that i think of it, 400 got the upgraded clutch packs swapped in the diff, fluid, and diff girdle installed. Of course the gears, diff cover and clutch packs were not included in that price. Now that's probably 1200 all together with parts and other installs included.

    Thumping Feel

You probably put flat spots in the tires. Its not necessarily something you can see but I've done it too. When the car skid it actually flattened out the parts of the tire that were making contact with the street. This is really likely to be your problem.

    Opinions On Build

Most people are going to tell you to go with a blower and tune or turbo and tune. Big power to be made with boost when you're dealing with the modular engines. What would you like your car to do when its done?

    Mustang Creaking Noise

Ball joints are fairly common problem in these cars. Through my 2 sn95 cars and my buddies 2 fox bodies, we've changed them on every car, sometimes more than once.

    Gears

I think i paid about 400 in labor. Be sure the shop knows about setting up axles. You can't just slap gears in and be cool. There's exacting measurements to be made or the whole thing will blow apart. Be careful. I've come across many shops that won't do rear axles because of the time and...
