    ok well just throwing ideas out there,, so if I wanted to find out the total travel for a rack I do this how,, jack the car up and measure what. wheel travel from ful left to full right? or do I need to be able to see the rack and measure there. -fred

    well ready my jegs cat. I saw that they sell a after marked pinto rack system, it is 3 &3/4 turns for full travel. if someone could see how many turns there original steering has. we maybe able to get it to work. -fred

    so if I wanted to use the engine just as is ( after rebuild of course) I would just need a oil pan, dist, headers, and a cowl hood. does this sound right, I have no engine right now so I need everything, also how hard is it to get the stuff for a t5 to hook up to it. -fred

    I was wondering If a older f350 5.8l efi engine would fit in a 68 fastback. I think but must likely wrong, aren't they 351's. and if so can I convert back to a carb.. thanks -fred

    Starting problems

    In my old tempo when the starter was making noise and not starting I would tap it kinda hard but not to hard to break it with a hammer and it would then start right up,, I cannot say why but it did.,, -fred

    I was going to cut and replace only the lower skin, the upper portion does need to be replaced but I think I can do it with normal sheetmetal work. I was going to order the coupe skin, to see if the lower was the same(I think it should be) and just cut around that. -fred
