    Help relocating battery

Just go to a welding shop and get some more 0 guage wire and run it from the negative post to the block. It will solve the problem. Good luck... Posted via Mobile Device

    Pinion angle and gear whine

The gear whine is definitely too much lash on the gears. Check the pinion angle with a $3 inclinometer from Harbor Freight. Slap it on the bottom of the rear end housing and see what she says. Do the same on the bottom of the starter to get the angle of the engine/tranny. You want them...

    E303 + 1.7 rockers = ?

Factory pushrods will be fine assuming you haven't milled the heads, block, or put new pistons in. If you have check the PV clearance. Good luck... Posted via Mobile Device

Opinions..Road racing slicks on the strip

They will suck ass. RR tires are designed to have an extremely stiff side wall so that you can corner hard on it. The trade off is that you don't get the sidewall flex you need to hook up. Pass on them if drag racing is your thing. Good luck... Posted via Mobile Device

    Finally got some heads.. but...??

Bat outta hell. You may have some mild part throttle driveability issues, but you've got a solid combo that ought to be good for 275 or so at the rears. Enjoy the burnouts! Good luck... Posted via Mobile Device

Brake upgrade info.... I want a rather cheap method for reliable improved stopping

If this car is really only going to be a DD you are probably overthinking the solution - IMHO. If you want 5 lugs for other reasons - looks, strength, wheel selection - fine. But a conversion really isn't needed for excellent DD braking. Huge rotos and massive calipers are great on a Road...

    1966 T5 Vibration Issue

Got the angles lined back up with the shims and the vibe is still there - but again more muted than before. I'm going to re-torque the pinion nut to make sure the bearing preload is still correct. Maybe that'll help it. Posted via Mobile Device

Brake upgrade info.... I want a rather cheap method for reliable improved stopping

Hawk pads, stock rotors and SS brake lines will make a huge difference over stock. Posted via Mobile Device

    1966 T5 Vibration Issue

Do I just measure the runout of the output shaft? I can easily do that with the tranny in the car. I put the car back up on blocks and am now waiting on it to settle. Quick and dirty measurements last night showed that the pinion angle is now too great - I.e. 8 degrees up. Posted via...

    1966 T5 Vibration Issue

I was actually able to get the wedges locally and they did not solve the problem. Still have the vibration, it's just much more muted now. I need to get the car back up on blocks, let it settle and see where the angles are. Thanks again. Posted via Mobile Device

    EFI on a 1966 Mustang

I know that you didn't really ask, but being someone that has an injected 66, let me be a voice of reason about the swap. It sure is nice to have it crank first time every time, especially in the winter, but there are downfalls: 1. You've got all the power now that you'll have with the EFI...

    1966 T5 Vibration Issue

So as it turns out the simplest solution is usually the right now....and it turns out that my springs settle a tremendous, and important amount. B/c my car is lowered, I have always jacked the car up, put concrete blocks under the tires and then lowered the car so that the car would be at...

    Windshield Installation Cost

I paid a window place 200 for windshield and rear window installs and they both leaked b/c they hadn't done installs on older vehicles that require sealant. I removed the trim myself and using the correct 3M sealant sealed both. Pain in the ass. If the window place won't gurantee no leaks...

    1966 T5 Vibration Issue

My thoughts exactly...specifically b/c Foxes have a "dogbone" dampener on the pinion. Giz - if you don't mind checking that would help. I have thought it might be an issue with this particular tranny, but it seems too odd that others with the same issue have exaclty the same symptoms...

    1966 T5 Vibration Issue

They are a little different, but should be okay from what I've seen everyone post. They were different, but I shimmed both the tranny and the diff to get them as close as possible. Stock 66 engine mounts with prob 5k on them and a RM tranny mount with the same mileage. From the research...

    1966 T5 Vibration Issue

I think there may again be confusion on the terminology - from everything I have read, the tranny should slope down (front to rear) and the pinion should slope down as well (front to rear). In other words the tranny shaft points down and the pinion shaft points up. Looking at each from front...
