short throw shifter. Barton or Steeda

I bought and installed the Barton and absolutely love it. No experience with the Steeda, but apparently the Barton has a 40% reduction in throw while the Steeda is 20%. I'm sure the Steeda is a well built piece as well, but I guess it depends on how short you want to go.

How many Miles on your 5.0 when you picked it up?

    Happy camper/exhaust

I'm glad you're happy with the GT500 mufflers, although I don't know what you mean by "all muffler no engine" To me, at least, the engine sound mostly does come out of the muffler....except for that sound tube from the intake.

    Headers

I know that Kooks has an exhaust system out for the 5.0, and their stuff is pretty top notch. You pay for it too. That says, get ready for a lot of asspain when installing the longtubes, or get ready to pay up for someone to do it.

Push Start ( Small gripe )

Count me in with the "I want to turn a key to start the car" fan club. Its just more satisfying for some reason. Can't explain it, just my opinion. Push buttons just don't push my buttons.....

    Forced Induction 5.0

the 5.0 seems to be a beast with FI. I don't know if I'd trust the MT82 though.

    2 months old and WACK!

I have no clue, but I would guess that if you're honest and up front with any potential buyer, and tell them that it was involved in an accident, but the damage was slight, then I don't see the value taking much of a hit.

What Oil filter have you used

I can understand not wanting to drive it in the weather, but if its a nice day, then game on! I drive mine to work all the time. I figure I bought mine to have fun with, so I'm gonna drive the crap out of it when I can and get my money's worth.

    2012 Adjustable Steering

Yeah, I kinda wish mine had that....oh well. that's what happens. The next year is always going to have something new and cool. I don't think it would be out of the realm of possibility for an aftermarket company to make something that does that same thing...maybe better.

Question for -11 mustang owners (v6 and 5.0)

I love the capless filler, works great. Once for some reason the pump didn't stop when it was full and started gushing gas out, but I think that was the fault of the nozzle and not the capless system. As for filling the tank if you run out of gas somewhere, 1. I try not to run out of gas. 2...

Suspension Upgrades for my '12 GT on order

I would recommend going with a good set of dampers from Koni or Tokico. I have the Tokico D-specs, and even with the Steeda Comp springs, the ride improved. I've heard that the Koni Yellows are even better but may be kinda hard to find right now. As far as strut mounts, you can find a set...

    2011 GT lowering springs

I would highly recommend aftermarket dampers and caster camber plates with a 1.5" lowering. But as far as absolute necessity, I don't think you need anything else if you're doing just springs.

    Exhaust

Look for exhaust vids on youtube and you can compare them. The Flowmaster American Thunder is the cheapest axleback I've seen, and I just installed it on my 5.0 because I actually think it sounds damned good.

    2011 Boss 302 Intake

Ahh, thanks for correcting me. That's why I added the "If I'm not mistaken" part, lol. It seems you'd have similar power output, but not the durability and reliability to rev to 7,500 rpm.
