    2006 Boss 302 Mustang?

    I have a 2001 Cobra and one of the reasons I like it is it feels a lot like the Boss 302 I drove years ago. Both have small high reving V8s with similar power, gross versus net HP not withstanding. I wish you would find that arcticle. I would like to test my memory against reality.

    Some cobra's are very well taken care of. 120K daily driver though, I don't know. You may want to take it to a good mechanic for s thorough chechup including compression testing on each cylinder. Good luck.

    That is interesting. My 01 wheel hop almost any time I press hard on the accelerator in first. I still have the stock tires. Wet whether is bad also. So your 03 wheel hops. I'm not sure what to think now?

    It seems that way to me also. From Ford parts network I see the following prices: Brace 79.99 Springs 46.99 ea Shocks 66.99 ea I have not priced the bushings. Total for the above would be 305.95 for the complete swap. You have a place that give better pricing?

    '01 Cobra???

    I had a right window fail on mine, but no problems otherwise. I have 20K miles on it now. It's a great car. For me there are few cars that look as good as a 2001 true blue cobra. Good luck. I might suggest you have someone knowledgeable take a good look at it.

    Hmmm, I suppose these mods may also impact wheel hop. You're right about the above and the tie rods being in a different location. Not sure what that does. Still, I think the vast majority of the improvement is in the springs, bushings, shocks and brace. Any of you guys disagree?

    I think your post and DoubleONegative's summed it up, when it comes to 0-60 and 1/4 mile times the Machs are a bit more powerfull and the better setup simply makes them easier to drive. I think Ford did a good job on the Machs. The IRS on the 01 cobra's needed more work before they released...
