    the only thing i still need is the part that attaches to the pig on the rear end just in front of the rear of end of the drive shaft.i cant remember the name right now .is it an 8.8 rear end and are you planning on going back?i am busy until saturday afternoon

    no where near crank bearings bad i might work on it tomorrow and get it back together had it been the crank bearings i would have lost interest in the project for atleast a month for shear frustration.

    update as far as the scraping that i was hearing from the bellhousing i dropped the transmission and sure enough there was a groove caused by the pressure plate .thank god thats all it was i would hate to have had to pull the motor and start over.i was worried the cylinder walls may have rusted...

    thanks i have pretty much relegated myself to the fact that i have to do this just hoping itwas something else, 4 hours ago i was going to drop the trans and instead took my kid to buy him a playstation 3.i know when i drop it i will find the area where it is rubbing.
