    true story, i just went from 3.27 to 4.10 in my 97 cobra. I used to get 20 mpg (i drive all highway). after the gears i got 21.5. seems like my mileage actually improved and i dont know why but im not complaining.. :lol:

    Went to track for first time!!!

    those times look like you could get better. I ran a best of 14.7 in my stock 1997 cobra first time i took it to the track. street tires as well. after pulleys and catback i got it to 14.4 (also on street tires) launching at about 2200 rpm. (Before you make fun of me, my altitude sucks! :D)

    unless it is modified :shrug: see for yourself ohv V8 5.0 / 305 220-230HP 290-300TQ ohv V8 5.7 / 350 230-245hp 330-345tq the 5.7 has more torque stock though; the only way to find out would be to run him at the track :D

    actually i was not running on ET streets. just regular street tires, yokohama avs'. First week i was there my best was a 15.0 (also this is at 4000 ft, so im not really THAT slow lol). Next week i went back and finally ran a 14.7 (which is about what i ran pre gears) normal driving, no launch...

    i just got mine and its nice.. however, is it normal to be too notchy? ive always had my craptastic stock shifter and just now been spoiled with a short throw... LOL i find myself shifting slower when racing... :/
