    Moving brake lines

Has anyone here moved the rear brake lines on a 65/66 from a single exhaust configuration in the trans tunnel to outside of the exhaust like a factory style dual exhaust setup? If so, what parts are needed? If it makes any difference, I have a 9" rear axle.

    VIN stamped on engine block?

I've seen the date code behind the starter, but I was looking for the car's VIN on the block. I looked on the block where it meets the pan, but could not find it. As for the small print, my eyes as bad as anyone's. I take a close up picture with my digital camera, then review the picture and...

    VIN stamped on engine block?

I assume neither of the possible VIN locations on the block are visible from under the hood or underneath the car. I guess the motor would have to be removed from car to see the VIN?

Are VIN's stamped on engine blocks? If so, where on the block would it be on my 289 HiPo?

    HiPo Motor Mounts

My preference is to use factory style, not necesarily concours correct, but cannot seem to find anything but the insulators. As a last resort, I'll use the aftermarket ones.

    HiPo Motor Mounts

Does anyone make repo motor mounts for a 65 HiPo? I've found the (2) rubber insulators and hardware from several vendors, but not the (2) steel mounts.

    65 GT Fog light ?

I don't think there is a fog lite hole in firewall. From these pictures, it looks like fog lite wires are run out of main harness. I'll look at car tonite and if I suspect or learn anything different, I'll post another picture. walter

    65 GT Fog light ?

Hole is about 1/4 in diameter. Grommet is 1 1/8" outside diameter. Looks like I'm missing a grommet. Walter

    Inner fenders

I just noticed my newly acquired 65 fastback does not have inner fenders or fender liners as some might call them. Without an inner fender like the newer cars, the underside of the fender is susceptible damage from rocks and pebbles. Is my car missing an inner fender or are all 65's like that...

    Horn problem

I tried the horn last nite, and the spark was smaller and only occurred once. Maybe the contacts are seating. I'll try again over the weekend and if the sparking continues, I'll try disconecting the horns and go the relay route if necesary. I sure appreciate your help, Tim! Walter

    Horn problem

Tim, you were right about the gap. After replacing the rings, and brushes/turn signal assembly, the horn still didn't work and I noticed the brushes were not contacting the rings. Thus the gap. I was successful in adjusting the column outward, towards the wheel, therefore reducing the gap...
