    Suspension porblem has me stumped....

No sot solved yet. I did get some measurements to the front bolts from level ground= 7 7/8" on the drivers side and 8 1/4" on the pass. I also hooked up the stock sway bar for now which helped a little and gave me those measurements. I didn't get a chance to swap the rear leafs (wife pulled an...

    V8 spindles

If unisteer's tie rod ends are the same as stock then it probably won't work. The Granada ends have the same taper but a larger diameter, top & bottom. They won't even fit through the stock holes....

    V8 spindles

I'm pretty sure I have a set lying around, without hubs though. they have the tie rod holes reamed out (correct taper) to fit Granada tie rod ends as well. Just need to find them if your interested.

    Suspension porblem has me stumped....

I can do that this weekend. I plan on swapping the rear leafs and standing in a dumbfounded stare at the front end for the weekend:rolleyes:

    Suspension porblem has me stumped....

Springs were the same thickness and length. I measured that to be sure as I was thinking the same thing... The holes are drilled the same 1" down on both sides, measured that as well. I don't think there's any frame damage. There are no visible signs of damdage or repairs. that's one of the...

    Suspension porblem has me stumped....

Decurion, that's why I posted. I can't think of anything that would cause this problem. S-Car, no sway bar, yet. Cool-blue, the spacers are 1/4" thick poly

    Suspension porblem has me stumped....

Essentially yes, just new parts. Obviously some parts are better than stock but just like replacing all the parts with stock components. Hence my confusion:shrug:

    Suspension porblem has me stumped....

TeamEntity, not sure the shocks would make a difference. If I put them in and it lifts the front end I'd be afraid I'm stressing the shock and just waiting for it to break. S-Car-Go, I already swapped to different coils. Same results, same side. I did find coil spacers on the old coils but...

    Suspension porblem has me stumped....

rbohm, not sure what spacer you mean but the coils is most definitely more compressed on the drivers side. I can get my finger tips between the wound coil on the passenger side but the drivers side looks like staked rings. There's no space between the coil...

    Suspension porblem has me stumped....

Yeah I double checked that as well. I make two templates out of 1/16" steel plate with the correct drop and 1/8" rearward movement. I leave the plate in there (all four bolt holes have a bolt in them when doing this). Only other thing I can think of is the sway bar is disconnected (waiting on...

    Suspension porblem has me stumped....

This one's got me good(errr) I just replaced the entire front suspension on my 66 coupe this weekend. Put in new lower arms with roller bearing, camber adjustment kit, new roller perches (Opentracker design), new upper arms with the "free" negative wedge setup again from Opentracker, used 620 1"...

    T5 Question

Hey a topic I can comment on:rolleyes: I put a 97 V6 T5 behind the 302 in my 66 coupe. Obviously the input shaft length and bell depth differences are known, but this actually put the shifter dead center in the factory shifter hole on my car. The V6 bell will bolt up to a V8 but you'll need a...

    car dolly for garage

Pics aren't the greatest but I built one last summer to hold my 66 coupe, fully loaded. Lots of 2.5" i.d. & o.d. tubing and some h.d. castors. Works pretty well and is adjustable to different frame widths and lengths. I can lift a car up to 24" off the ground as well but getting the car on the...

How much sound deadening (dynamat etc) is needed?

Any issues with structural integrity? I have a set of 07 Shelby seats I want to put in my 66 coupe but they are way too tall. Even at only 6'1" I don't like my head hitting the metal roof...

    Wheel PS thoughts

Anything but stock....not that a set of styled steel wheels looks bad on a 66:rolleyes: I'm all for bigger wheels and tires, I just think his car looks perfect just the way it is, especially the Grabber blue:nice:

Z06, where are your seat pan risers? Doesn't look like they're there in that pic:shrug:

    anyone ever build this

Like this... this is with my 66 coupe on it fully loaded. I used 2.5" o.d., 1/4" wall square tubing with some 2.5" i.d. tubing for the mounts. Everything is adjustable to fit various frame widths and lengths. I had my 69 Falcon wagon (fully loaded again) on it for a while before the Stang went on.

Alternative to Stock 1965 Side Mirrors? (pics appreciated)

I used 93 GT convertible mirrors on both my coupes. I'll see if I can get into the garage to get a pic but that might be impoosible considering all the crap that's accumulated around the cars for the winter hibernation.....

    Late model seat ?

Not sure I follow. The tubing would go through the seat pan (front to back)? Not a bad idea. I'll still have to lower the pans almost 2" anyway, which puts the back end at next to nothing in height. There's quite a bit of overhang, almost 9" with the late model seats.
