Drag Racing at Pacific Raceways (Kent, WA)

You're right, I just looked through his list and the only non-Shelby on there is his son's car. I would go anyway, since it's local, but if I had to drive a few hours to get there... I haven't been on TS much myself. I have, for obvious reasons, been spending the vast majority of my forum...

Drag Racing at Pacific Raceways (Kent, WA)

I am having withdrawls like you wouldn't believe! I broke my leg on a ski trip to Utah in January, and have not been able to drive ANY of my own vehicles since. Can't operate a clutch, and can't climb into my Bronco! I would be able to drive my '77, but that's the only non-operational one of...

Transmission and engine question for 76 cobra 2

It won't be that hard, but it also won't be that cheap. You can usually find everything you need on eBay, or post up on the classifieds section of mustangii.net You'll need the frame mounts, motor mounts (rebuilt sets show up occasionally, NOS ones are really $$), oil pan, and either headers...

Drag Racing at Pacific Raceways (Kent, WA)

Your experience shows Brian! Nicely done. I wish I could be that consistent, but I don't get enough practice to hone my skills like you have. Be another month or two before I can even think about the track, waiting for my broken left leg to finish healing...

Anyone know a lawyer who can deal with a parking ticket?

Still good info to have. Sounds extremely predatory. Good luck in making their lives miserable, I think they deserve it.

    Trans cooler line problems

Classic Tube sells the OEM ones, but they feed to the radiator. Classic Tube: C-4 - V8 Sounds like somebody put an aftermarket one in yours.

    1977

That doesn't sound out of line. Are both windows original? Look in the lower front corner for the Carlite logo. If your passenger window is thinner, it may not be original. I've got a used front spoiler if that's what you're looking for.

Help me identify these two holes / bolts on intake manifold.

I was kind of thinking that too. A lot of vendors sell plates that bolt to the top of aftermarket intake manifolds specifically to use for lifting the motor. I've seen them for EFI intakes too. I tend to use accessory bolt holes in the heads, but mostly because I have a big levelling plate...

    '76 T-Top Stallion

Not a '76, and not a Stallion. That's a '78 with the Rallye Appearance Package. The grille surround is actually gold in color for that package. The taillight bezels are black with gold in grooves.

    How to clean Aluminum wheels

I've been really happy with this stuff: Flitz I bought one of their starter kits at a car show, got a good price on it and after watching the demo I was suitably impressed. Takes a little time to get a good shine, but it holds up well.

    Hello?

I'm reassembling my '78 King Cobra after a new paint job, and will be attending a bunch of shows with it this summer. I'll be at the Mustang Roundup in Bellevue 7/18, and I'm planning to drive up to Vancouver BC the last weekend in June. There's a show there that had 22 Mustang II's last year...

    Off-Road H-P install?

Most exhaust shops won't touch that, against the law for them to remove cats and not replace. There used to be a place that you could rent a lift, but they went under. Not sure if there's another one around?

    Throw away or keep questions

There are some odd things that are worth saving just because they are commonly damaged, but nobody cares about original carpet or insulation. I say toss it. Even the resto guys buy new. A lot of interior pieces are worth keeping, I have two complete black interiors in my crawlspace just in...

    Hello?

Why yes, yes there are! Where are you at? There are 5 Mustang II guys that I know around the Portland area, and a rather shocking number around Vancouver BC.

Do I need any parts? 2.3L to 5.0L

Yes, should be a slam dunk. Everything will transfer over and all the mounting holes should already be present. Look forward to seeing your progress!

Do I need any parts? 2.3L to 5.0L

Cool. Post up your results when you get them, I'm building a database of people's Marti numbers for the II.

Getting warmer, started on the II again

I can't blame my wife. I won't let her put a single thing in MY garage. And it really pisses her off, too, but that was the agreement when we bought the house six years ago. MY garage. MY four cars in there. MY tools, MY toys. Her car sits outside. She has a small garden shed to put her...

There's still a way to prove it: Order a Marti report. That will give you a ton of information.

    King Cobra For SALE!

I've seen the pictures on Craigslist. Looks like 104k to me. Car has a ton of not-so-fabulous modifications, including the sunroof. Why do all that hacking on an ultra-low mileage car?

    Hood/Cowl Damage

I was talking about this with a friend recently. I know it happens, I've seen the aftermath. My question is: Why? Our hoods have a latch equipped with a secondary safety latch. What exactly is causing both to fail on a number of Mustang II's? Is there some inherent design flaw in the II...
