    Mine are all real aluminum. I know that some were vinyl, but most were not. The only vinyl ones I've seen personally were on '78 models, but my King has real aluminum.

    That all depends on whether or not the car had AC originally. Changing the core is easy on a non-air car. Air conditioned cars are a big pain, you have to take a lot more stuff out.

    You can buy rebuild kits on eBay for $90. They use urethane, better than the OEM rubber.

    I'm not going to be able to get to the track until sometime after Labor Day. Between the usual summer plans, visiting relatives, and my anniversary, my weekends are booked solid through then. Hopefully the week or two after that, I'll be there in my Shelby.
