    Why is my MPH slow

    I feel he's missing around 5 mph or so. Probably just tuning. How heavy is the car? What elevation is the track?

    Intake gaskets not sealing? Need Some help

    I've had to REPLACE my intake gaskets 4 times because they shifted after about 5 months each time.......also Fel-Pro 1250's! They're crap in my opinion. I used Edelbrock's this time, hopefully they work.

    Valve springs question

    Valve float is a different issue.....it happens when the springs aren't strong enough to close the valves before they open again. The stock springs will be okay for the B303 as far as lift is concerned, but they may have valve float in the higher rpms.

    I agree completely. Always make double sure that all surfaces are super clean.

    That's a pretty ignorant statement. There are many different types of GT40 heads: GT40 iron, GT40P iron, GT40Y aluminum, GT40X aluminum.....and I believe they just came out with a GT40Z. Even the regular iron GT40 is still much better than stock E7 heads.

    Are you kidding? haha, I think he did it just to be funny.....which he was. Obviously he didn't dent the guys doors or anything. I love how he pulled up and took 2 spaces just like the Porsche did. I would have done the same thing, just to see the look on the guys face when he came out, haha.

    Interesting. I was thinking maybe I should just buy an aftermarket billet distributor.....Like an MSD or Mallory....then I could set the advance to what I wanted easily. Thanks for the reply.

    When I bought the car, the stock distributor had already been worked a bit by the previous owner....so the advance is definity not stock. When I set the base timing at 14, the total timing is at 42! Also the total timing comes in very quick (like a bit under 2000 rpm). I'm just wondering that...

    That Vic Jr. intake could be killing your low end, although you do have a good rear gear ratio......I have no idea.

    I bought a stock Ford water pump from Ford Racing for about $50.....they're cheap.
