    VA Reckless Driving "Summon"...Lawyer needed?

In an ideal world you would have the money to hire an attorney familiar with VA traffic law and the judge, prosecutor, and complaining officer. I don't know what the law is in VA but here in Michigan you don't have to show up for a civil infraction if you have a lawyer and he is authorized to...

    Lawyers in here!

I can tell you what I do here in Michigan and PA may be very different. Here, for a civil infraction you can have either an informal or formal hearing. An informal is in front of a magistrate and it's just you and the cop. I generally like to get there early and try to talk to the...

Broke my left pinky toe.... getting in my car sucks.

I can relate. About 10 years ago I ran for the phone with wet bare feet, slipped and kicked the door jamb. I broke the toe next to the little one. One of my buddies is a podiatrist. At our consultation at the local watering hole, he told me that there is nothing you can do for a broken toe...

    Distributor help

Just remember with your roller cam engine you need a steel gear on the distributor. I am putting my 'Stang's old engine into a 92 F-150 and doing a carb conversion. I got an MSD distributor with a steel gear and mechanical advance. I don't remember what the part # is off the top of my head...

3.55 gears and white speedo gear????

Here is a photo of a white gear that was in my T-5 when I bought it. Notice the dental problem between 1 and 4 o'clock and 7 and 11 o'clock. I was subsequently told that the white gear is actually for a Jeep and it does not mesh properly, leading to a loss of teeth. I've changed the oil twice...

    how do our engine weigh??

I heard somewhere that the complete engine is in the 500+ lb range. I would guesstimate in the 300 lb range for a shortblock.

    Questions about my transmission swap?

To prevent the car from starting without pushing in the clutch pedal there's a little jumper harness back behind the fuse block that needs to be disconnected. It's just a single wire and I recall it had a stripe on it.

    urgent alarm wiring problem!

I had a friend who had an aftermarket alarm system in her car that would malfunction and go off for no reason. I very carefully removed all wiring, the relay, siren and alarm related parts. I then patched up the original wiring where it had been spliced. You may need to do the same.

so i saw big daddy's car today...

No, that was Ronnie Sox of Sox & Martin. He had 5 NHRA Championships and was winner of more than 50 events. Don Garlits (the man we have to thank for viable rear engined dragsters) is still around.

Desecration - More Than a Flag

No, I don't like it when the flag gets desecrated. The beauty of the American flag is that no matter what someone does to it, the ideals that it represents (even and especially political free speech) continue on unimpaired. To pass a law restricting free speech would tarnish those ideals. And...

    Need pics of clutch cable

Mine attaches on the front corner of strut tower that is toward the engine. There is a place down toward the bottom that is flat and has the holes for the bracket mounting points.

sun visors for 94 GT convertable

I know I will probably be subject to anathema but I bought a sun visor from Mustang Part Specialties a couple of years ago. I don't remember the price being that bad--$15 or so?

Ill be installing a water temp and oil pressure gauge next weekend.

A little might come out but the vast majority of it will be in the pan well below the level you are working at. Same with the water temp guage. Just keep a rag around to mop up spillage. If you have to change the oil, you could always start the engine once the oil sending unit is removed...

    Reviews on Summit Shorty Headers?

I don't have Summit shorties on the 'Stang but I do have an F-150 4X4 that will be getting them. I have always been happy with the quality of their store-brand products. I don't know who makes them.

    Will this fit?

Externally the 302/5.0 blocks are the same. Your mounts and tranny will fit on any one you get. Some fuel injected 302s are speed density bank-to-bank injection and have a different firing order as well as a flat tappet cam; e.g. my 1992 F-150. The firing order thing might give you issues...
