    sounds normal to me.... last one I did appeared to have excessive backlash, same as yours is doing, and it was within spec. Long as the backlash at the carrier is .012 I'd say your fine.

    Fuel Leak Question

    Odd Ford would use (6) o-rings??? Done mine before for a pump swap and never noticed that. I thought they all were the Brown monster o-rings (1) each per connection. This is from LMS.. maybe you should call & speak to them?? They also carry the factory line to the front for crazy money...

    Will the check engine light come on if I do this?

    Removing the pump & hardware wont trip a CEL...The EGR will if you dont "set" the plunger. You still run cats??? should keep the pump if you do.

    I'd think you could hear a nasty hissing if you had that bad a leak on that intake spacer.. you did a gasket top and bottom on the spacer? a vac gage reading would be helpful at this point to see if its steady or low & jumping. cant you run propane or something like that along where you...

    1... pull the valve covers...rotate the motor til you see the balancer come up to 0 on the timing mark...look up and see it both valves are closed on #1 cyl. if not then keep turning the motor over (clockwise) til this happens. Once both are closed and your on 0 your TDC. 2... you prolly...

    Used FTI here. It can take some time once in line for your number to come up. If he was sick I'm sure he's buried then. This is his busy time of year..lots of motors being built..Def a busy guy. I know he uses just email to keep the interuptions down or he say's he'd never get jack done...
