    How can I tell if my motor mounts need replacing? The motor is already out of my car. The car only has 82K but it is a 79 model.

    I want a new harmonic balancer for my rebuilt engine. The local Napa store wants $122 for one. Does anyone know where to find one a bit cheaper? The ones for 81 and up are easy to find for $60 but the 79-80 are not so cheap.

    That is one sweet looking pace car. Let me know where I can find more pics of it. Did it cause more vibration with those mounts? I am taking my pace car back PAINFULLY stock. He##, its cheaper to build a hot little motor than to go back stock but I am taking the road less traveled........as you did.

    Saw a how to on some site. I had time on my hands so I did it. It is the stock MAF, the thought being opening it up a bit. I spent six hours on it and got nothing from it. zZ- i guess the same reason you would custom bend an H pipe. That makes no sense to me but thats the cool thing...

    17" or 18" Shelby wheels?

    I am about to buy some Shelby wheels for my GT. I cant decide if I want 17 or 18" wheels. The 17s are 17x9 and the 18s are 18x9.5. What are the biggest tires I can put on each without rubbing issues? Will the 18s fill the wheelwell better or will there really be a noticable difference?

    Porting MAF?? good or bad?

    I did it and have had no problems at all. But I spent six hours porting and polishing and should have spent that time doing something else. I felt no gain.

    SMR thanks but i am keeping this car painfully stock. It still had the 1979 spark plug wires on it and was 99.9% stock, it had air horns on it. I got the engine out tonight and on a stand and started the teardown. If I can't find a new on , I will coat the exsisting one until I find a new...

    Gas tank for 79 Pace car

    Why am I having such a problem finding a new gas tank for my 79 pace car? All the listings that I find start at 81. I am restoring an 82k car that has been sitting in my garage for 8 years, I am going to replace the tank, lines and carb. Any info on any of these would be appreciated.
