    What brand roller rockers are you using wtih TW heads?

    I use 7/16 stud Comp Pro Magnum 1.6's. We were just checking the geometry and they look great. I have heard of some rockers not working too well with twisted wedge heads, but no problems with with the pro magnums.

    5.0L vs. 5.8L

    The 351 is a bit larger than a 302 because the deck is 1.3" taller. Also the 351 has 1/2" head bolts and the 302 has 7/16 head bolts. The distibutors and oil pans are different but it is hard to tell the difference by just looking at them.

    They would be good with a 302 short block that can handle 7-8000 rpm and a victor Jr. NOT a stock bottom end with a dual plane performer RPM intake.

    Yea I have no idea why people say flowmasters sound bad with an x pipe. Around my town almost everyone agrees that an X and flowmasters are the best(even my friends with chevys). Can't wait to hear my 331 at 7,500 with a 3" X and 1 chamber flows :drool: :banana:

    You need to get that thing tuned, or find what is causing your low 106mph traps, with all those good parts you should be running MUCH better than 106mph. I ran 103mph with gt40 heads, stock intake, and e-303 cam so you must have some major problems with your tune if you can only get 3 more mph...

    Well if you are ever at Maple Grove look for one of my cars, or my truck. You can't miss the truck when I drop the exhaust and run open header, and my '87 will have a big tunnel ram and dual quads sticking out of the hood so you won't miss that when I get it done.

    There is only one way to know, CHECK IT!!! it's not worth the risk of grenading a complete motor the first time the valves float a little bit.

    Custom Comp :nice: TFS stage 1 and steeda #18 are too small. TFS stage 2 is good if you are on a tight budget.

    EGR question

    I used a fel-pro 1262 intake gaskets that blok off the egr ports going to the intake. Then you need to get a spacer to hold the throttle linkage since it is bolted onto the EGR sacer now if you want to eliminate the spacer itself.

    The plugs stick more strait out from the heads instead of on a steep angle like stock heads.

    You should switch to mass air. I ran gt40-p's, e-303, STOCK intake, shorty headers, off-road H, and pro-M 75mm mass air conversion kit in my '87 and it had to make way more than 200rwhp because I ran consistent [email protected] and the only big differance is you don't have mass air.

    NO! They will not, I had a set of Mac headers on my '87 when I bought it and when I put gt40-p's and FMS headers on I bolted up my mac's just to see if they would work and I saw they definately would not fit on one side.

    WOW, all these answes and no one asked what he was going to use the car for and other details of the combination. :shrug: A good race head for an 8,000 rpm drag motor is not going to work as well in a 6,000 rpm street motor.
