Lots of mods and no improvment?

I don't think the CAI would cause the car to lose that much power. A GT with those mods shouldn't have any trouble against a stock GT. If it were the CAI, your friend should've noticed a drop in HP right off the bat after the install. It could've messed up the A/F ratio, but that kind of drop...

Preliminary 1/4mi times for stock '05 GT

You know if everyone would just ignore his (and all the other trolls) pointless posts it would save a ton of space. It's obvious he's a troll...so just ignore it. Lets get back on topic

    I just wasn't satisfied with cervini's pic...

I didn't know that the new GT came with an auto pilot. :D You can just barely see the guy in there. It looks like the car is driving itself.

Preliminary 1/4mi times for stock '05 GT

STILL waiting to see real numbers.

2005 Mustang GT with 20" rims.

You can't look at a dang magazine article and tell what size wheels are on a car. Get real guys. If the add says 20's, then you pretty much have to take it for what it's worth.

got the mac straight shot, testing soon!!!!

Dang Charlie...sounds like you have some very impatient Stangers on your hands. Hope everything goes well in your new location. Don't forget to check H-streets for the next Upgrades day/night at the track. Hopefully you'll be able to make it back in for some of those events.

Sweet crap in the morning this is bad.

The funny thing about your comment is that it's the exact same thing I told a buddy of mine when he first sent me over to BON to read the article. :nice:

Looks to me like you need to re-read the article before posting anything in here.

Ford Racing C Springs or Eibach Pro-Kit

I have the "C" springs and love them. I wanted a little more than the 1" drop but I didn't want to cut the springs. What I did was remove the spring isolators and went to Lowes and bought a thin walled rubber hose and put back in place of the spring isolator. Once the car settled I had about...

    03 Cobra vs. Mach 1

Yeh well I BROUGHT my GT back in 01 and I think it can kick your Mach's @$$. Dude, calm down...don't take things so personal. Just because someone likes the Cobra better doesn't mean you can't have your opinion. :nice: Simple fact is for modding potential the Cobra is going to win...

What size fuse should an 800W amp use?

This is correct and I should've stated it, but I only half answered your question. Sorry about that. You may have a bad connection somewhere which will cause you to blow fuses. Check both the power and ground wires. You may have a loose connection or the power wire may be intermittently...

What size fuse should an 800W amp use?

An 80 would be the minimum you should be running. A good rule of thumb to start with is 10 amps/100watts. Sometimes it takes a little more, but that is a good starting point. I have an 80 on my sub amp which just happens to be 800watts and it has never blown a fuse. Knock on wood.

    subs in the trunk

Either way you go you will be happy...I have two 10's and love them, but I'm doing one 12 in my gf's V6. Yes you could possibly have rattling issues if you put the box in the spare tire well IF you don't sound deaden the car.

    SUPERCHARGED BEAST

They are in Georgia. Actually that number was achieved on an S281 Saleen. It still has the stock heads and intake, just like the ones on a regular GT. The shortblock has been forged of course, but nothing has been done to the heads or intake. I have never heard one bad thing about this shop...

will 70mm throttle body benefit me?

That's a hard one to answer. I know that over on Modular Depot there is a write up where they tested all the different plenums with a 75mm TB and they got a small gain over stock. I'm not sure what type of a gain you would see.

    SUPERCHARGED BEAST

Tim, aka Cobra Killer, of Modular Powerhouse (formerly T&J Performance), is arguably the best tuner for modular cars around. I just had him do a tune for my car. I ordered the SCT reflasher. No chip is needed. He'll put 3 tunes in it for $500. He put a valet tune in it so that if I take it...

    Heres MY problems with Ford!!

That's what I do when I'm doing custom work to cars. A lot of people by cheap aftermarket products that don't line up and there isn't enough adjustment in the stock piece to make it right. I just pull you the die grinder and go to it. Works 99% of the time.

    Heres MY problems with Ford!!

Lexus is just a fancy word for Toyota, and they are far from perfect. I know plenty of people who aren't satisified with theirs. When you pay $30,000+ for a car, you expect the body lines to match up period, I don't car if it's a dang Yugo. It's not that difficult to do it right the first time.
