    spark plug change

I just took the plugs out toady and anti-seized them. No problems at all and didn't take long. There was only a little bit of corrosion but then again I only have ~3500 miles on the car now. I ended up not getting new plugs so I'll probably change them in ~25k miles.

    spark plug change

I'm pissed. I was planning on doing the plugs this weekend. I ordered the Motorcraft anti-seize and its expired. Says use by 4/01/07 on top of the bottle. Didn't even realize it could expire. I'm waiting on the new one to come in. I should have just tried at the dealer instead of...

    Loose Spark Plugs

Did you use anti-seize on the threads themselves or just the cap where the carbon builds up? If you also used it on the threads, the torque specs will not be accurate. Although I thought it would bias it towards overtightening.

    FRPP Intake/tune and 87 octane

Can you run 87 octane with the FRPP intake/tune package? The website says 91 octane but I have read that the Bullit canrun on 87 and I thought it had the FRPP intake/tune.

    spark plug change

Thanks for the advice. I just ordered the motorcraft nickel antiseize. Do you think I need to change the plugs or can I just take the old ones out, add anti-seize and reuse them?

    spark plug change

I only have 3k miles on my '07 and I am planning on pulling the plugs to use anti-seize on them to prevent the TSB. Any tips? I don't think I will need penetrating oil since they are so new.

    I'm back

Happy to say that I'm back in a mustang again. I just picked up an '07 GT cali special coupe in redfire. I love these S-197 stangs real nice compared to my old '01.

    Grey Slush Mats

You're right, I went to the dealer yesterday and the black one's looked good with the dashboard, so I got them. They hide dirt better too.

    Grey Slush Mats

Ford discontinued the grey colored slush mats for 05+ stangs. Now they only come in black. Does anyone know where I could get a set in grey. Or any online sites that sell ford accessories that might still have a set?

    Single Exhaust Poll

I know there are a lot of posts on exhaust already. I just want to get an idea what exhuast set up is the best for a single exit axle back exhaust on an '07. I don't want to do duals. I want a nice sound without too much drone. I just realized I left out MRT. I'm not sure if I can edit...

    FORD falls apart after 50k???

noise after startup could be the starter. my stang has made that noise a few times (mostly in winter cold) and I think it is the starter on the flywheel. but it goes away after a few seconds.

If not a Mustang, then what?

I had to make this decision and I ended up w/ a Ford Ranger Pickup(I needed a 4x4 for winter and a pickup bed for my ATV). Then I picked up a '91 Firebird as a second sports car.(Mustangs are just too pricey and the t-tops are nice) Eventually I'll probably get a newer mustang but they are...

    HorsePower

I know what you mean. With the exact same engine design larger displacement does lead to more fuel consumtion. It can't be used to compare different engines from different manufacturers. Thats why I have a problem w/ the car magazines using it so much and the europeans using it to tax cars...

    HorsePower

Larger displacement does not = lower fuel mileage. For example just look at the Corvette. It also doesn't mean that the engine is heavier. Again the chevy small block is a good example. Since it is a pushrod engine it has smaller heads and packaging w/ the cam shaft in the middle. Some...

Soon to be New 07 Owner

I don't think getting the v6 is a "wuss out" at all. Its just a smarter decision, IMO. A base GT costs more than $5K more than the v6 especially w/ the new pony package discount. That doesnt include the insurance and gas savings as well. The v6 has a good aftermarket following and is plenty...
