    exhaust size

I would go with 2.5" max, because I think anything larger and you will start to lose backpressure with the amount of power you are making. I have 2.25" installed by the PO and would go with 2.5" if I was to ever redo the exhaust system.

    OMG WTF HAPPEND HERE!!!!

nothing rice about it... I remember seeing it posted a couple months back (it was getting just about the same responses as this thread) and being really impressed by it. I admit the flares look pretty awkward and look more European DTM than traditional muscle car but the amount of time and skill...

    Blacked out tail light panel?

I think it'll look great! you usually see it on '69-70 body styles so I think it'll be unique on an earlier car.

Getting hot at Idle, Fan shroud question.

I just installed a factory shroud and a Flex-a-lite 6 blade fan in my '65 with a four core radiator and you can definately feel the cold air coming through at idle, and it seems to run cooler too (although I never really had overheating problems). My fan is approximately 2'' from the radiator...

    Where to do online shopping?

I usually order from NPD and Mustangs Plus. I like how NPD has free shipping for orders over $300, although I think a lot of places do that. I just like them because they have absolutely everything.

    Gas Tank Removal

I just replaced my tank and the hardest job is draining the old gas. After you drain, you just need to remove 11 screws, unhook the sending unit and electrical feed, and the filler neck. Put it back in reverse. Whole process should take about an hour (if you don't brake anything like me...)...

    Exhaust size

this is the same thing I was hoping to do for my exhaust system. If you don't mind me asking, where did you order the system from and how much did the shop charge to weld it up? Thanks for any help.

    Keeping cool in Miami heat

I have a basically stock 289 (besides headers and Edelbrock intake and carb) which is cooled by a 4 row copper/brass radiator. I haven't had any problems so far, but I haven't driven it on very hot days yet. I plan on putting in a shroud and new fan, and hope this will be enough. everyone's...

    Wich Gas...?

same here. A local Mustang shop recommended to run the highest octane you can (91 for me), for the gas it was designed for back in the 60s was something like 93 octane. Although I do sometimes fill up with the 87, and notice no difference

My secret parts source - Now Available to all of you

Hilarious... I'm thinking about ordering the AWD kit for better traction. and maybe chrome spark plug wires to clean up the engine bay. haha... my Honda friend was pretty offended when I showed him this :owned:

    Is this worth it???

I bought a '65 in almost the same mechanical and interior condition as the one you described for $5200. But I have no issues with brakes or suspension, and although the paint is not show quality, it is a very good daily driver type job. I'd say around $4000 would be a good price, so it might be...
