    Frustrating as Hell when....

...there is no one on the other end of the phone. I have been doing an EFI conversion in a 69 convertible off and on for the last few weeks. I inherited a problem harness and finally gave up and was ready to order one from somebody. Windsor-Fox, Ron Morris Performance and Mustang Plus don't...

    console question...

There is a difference if the car is a convertible or hardtop. The convertible has three cuts on the console where it meets the carpet that allows it to fit properly over the center hump brace under the carpet. Or else it will tend to sit too high. Which does your friend have? And is it a...

    Body Shop Headaches

I run a restoration shop in Tampa. The biggest problem I have run into is not the dissatisfied customer regarding the repairs and amount of time it takes, but its the degree of restoration that they expect. I schedule all my jobs so that they know when to drop it off and when they can expect...

Teach me the ways of the Sawzall

Use a torch to heat up both ends of the bolt...one at a time of course...keeping in mind to not melt the frame work...then break them off with a hammer and chisel. Once 'snapped' off, pry the bushing, housing and bolt from the frame. Works for me. I have grown tired of 'cutting' the bolt ends...

Questions about putting a AOD tranny in a 68 289 Coupe?

With a tilt mechanism on your lift, anything will fit...with a little patience. You may have to add the motor mounts after the engine is almost in though. With the width of the AOD, it may 'touch' when lowering into the engine bay.
