    Whats wrong with my suspension?

I am running the same spring package as you, I got the bilsteinHD's They are expensive, but if you can afford them they are worth every penny. The tokico illumina 5-ways were my second choice. I think you should be fine with them or the premiums. With factory dampners the would be working...

    Whats wrong with my suspension?

I would Check the U-Joints, but they are kind of a low dollar item, so I would just put new ones in for piece of mind. I did not realize that you had that many miles. What about your shocks and struts??? are they factory ones? If so I would check those out... a blown shock or strut sometimes...

    Whats wrong with my suspension?

Do you notice anything different about how your car handles? Do is wander on the road? Are you having bumpsteer ( car wanting to turn when you hit bumps?) You need to get it on a rack and do some checking before you go to Florida. You might want to look at your sway bars real close also...

    rear axle shaft question

You can forget trying to fix it. You will need 28 spline for an 8.8 rear end. And replace both at the same time. Unless you want to use this as a reason to upgrade to a 31 spline for future mods :D

H&R Sport Springs on a vert

DJHA90, Caldwell is running the H&R SuperSports, and factory shocks and struts. He loves them and gave his car a real nice stance. I was going back and forth for about a year on what suspension parts, and almost went with the H&R Race as recommended by MM for Verts. I ended up with the...

    For Caldwell as promised....

Well before I turned the first bolt on the project, I had it on the shop floor and measured fender lip to floor, and fenderlip to lip of wheel. And when I finished the project took readings again. At first there was NO difference at all. As a matter of fact the rear was like 1/4 inch higher...

    For Caldwell as promised....

Well really it only dropped about 1/2 of an inch in the rear, and the front did not drop at all until I drove it around a bit. Now its about level with the rear at 1/2 of drop. You right it handles great, and the ride is firm but not harsh. I drove it to work the yesterday (62 miles one way)...

    For Caldwell as promised....

Doug, Finally got around to taking a few pics, these were taken just after the install. After about 120 miles the front settled down and now the fender to wheel gap is about the same as the rear. The ride is great, and the difference is unbelievable...

    Seafoam vs. High Miles

:nice: I used Seafoam on my Grand Cherokee last month. It has 240,000 plus miles on the clock. Runs smoother, and I picked up 2-3 MPG. It is my DD and I drive 60miles one way to work (Highway) and at about 80mph and I am getting 23mph.... :nice: I used half of the can thru the brake booster...

    h&r sport springs Q's

"The Eibach springs (both pro and sport) do not have decernable spring rates according to Eibach themselves. They are true progressive rate springs that have a "flexible" rate. Depending on if it's a speed bump or a pot hole or otherwise, the tension of the spring changes accordingly." That...

    h&r sport springs Q's

Hey Juiced, I just went thru a suspension buildup. The spring question was something that took me along time to answer. I was dead set on H&R, and the only ones that they list for the Verts are the "RACE". Here are the spec's on the H&R line for our cars. H&R Race: Front 750-850...

    what else with a S/C?

You might want to lower your goal on PSI with a stock motor. Cause if you don't it wont be stock for long.. you will be replacing broken parts.. I would say you could get away with 8psi. There is no magic part or parts that you can get, as with any forced induction system you have just...

    chassis stiffening

I just put a set on last weekend... best mod so far, besides 3.73's. Made a big differnce in the feel of the car. I have a Vert and they are bad for doing the twist in the corners... I can not tell you how much you need these if you have a vert. The kit is top notch, I got the full length...

    Remove "Dogbone" after gear install

Thats a deal for the suspension parts. I am still flipping the coin on what springs I want to use. Having major problems making up my mind. :bang: I did the subframe connectors / strut tower brace this weekend.. And I tell you besides the gear swap, the subframe was the biggest "Seat of...
