    Actually, an aluminum driveshaft can be shortened just fine. Mine was shortened 1" when we moved the motor back (clearance issues with 10-rib S/C pulley, Mark VIII fan, and Griffin radiator). Not flaming - just don't want to see someone avoid this route for the wrong reason.
