I'd swing for the double din. Looks much nicer in the car.

He shimmed because he has an 8 rib system. You have to shim to put in the 8 rib stuff. I dont know what kind of shimming you did, but I would have some spacers turned if you don't already out of some t-304 stainless or 7075-T6 alumiumn that match the specs for a properly shimmed blower. I would...
Weeds is the **** nit. I watched seasons 1 and 2 from netflicks instant watch stuff, then got season 3 delived and watched all of them. No I am "aquired" all of season 4 as i aired. Best show right now on. I agree, certainly needed to be longer though.
Prison Break is going to be back, this...
Get the car that car set out to beat and failed miserably at. The BMW 540i Sport. 4.4 V8 6-speed. They are a solid car that will age extreamly well compaired to other bimmers. Since they have been out since 1998 to 2003, there is pretty much one in any budget. And they are not that hard to work...
It will work with the Mach stuff. The right harness has to be aquired for it. It has to be the harness that will switch on the rear amps. That was the big problem back in the day. I did eventaully end up getting rid of the Mach speakers. They just sound so horriable. Just my personal opinion...
I did the blower thing about 4 years ago. Moter blew up. I went with an Aluminator short block. I got my for $4000 shipped. I don't think any of the builders can touch an aluminumn motor full forged for 4k shipped.
If I didn't ruin my heads, I could have reused everything. And just had to...
For an 01 or newer, Double din is what I mean. I wasn't thinking about the ealier style dash.
To the OP, you won't be disappointed if you stick with a reputable brank. Alpine, Eclispe, Pioneer,. But I do love my D3. For its price, unbeatable.
flip-out ftmfl. Double din still needs a kit though. There is about 1/4 inch on either side that gets filled in with the kit and it is used to bolt the unit to the dash. Double din or go home. Flip out in a mustant just doen't look right. And can get in the way of taller shifters as well.
If funds are that tight, just do the rod and piston combo with some good bearings, cobra HV oil pump and pick up tube, and put it all together. Could be well under 2g's for a 600hp capable street car that would last along time. Building the short block is the easy part. Its cramming the air is...
Alot of us on here have put in the AVIC-D3. Fits extremly good in the dash. Does the whole MP3 GPS thing and a ton more stuff. Plus its cheap for what it does.
Fuel enconomy boils down to tuning. Wether its a carb or injectors. I have cars running a car get good miliage, but I have FI cars get terriable milage because of tuning issues. The biggest reason in the jump to better milage in the late 80's was becasue of the switch to overdrive transmissions...
I would like to see what a 2v FI with a similar set up would do. Say using a fox lake manifold instead of the eldelbrock setup.
But lets face it, the only way to make power on these motors with their small displacement is rev. 6500rpm isn't really that high. Foxlake claims with their intake...
I have the article right here with me. It was done on a PORTED AND CAMMED Pi swap. But thats it. CNC'd heads, didn't specifiy who ported them though. COMP XE274H cams and springs. It used a Barry Grant 575cfm Mighty Demon and BBK full lenght headers. Nothing special. Just made more power then a...
I have an Aluminator in my garage right now. Got it last week. A bad Mofo is all I can say. I don't think you will deal with piston slap. It does still have production tolerences. It comes with ARP rod bolts, windage try, Cobra oil pump, and rear plate and main seal already installed. You will...
if your sportin' tha 4v, the a cobra badge some where, maybe on the rear trunk lid, I mean, the motor is really what sets the cobra apart from the GT more then anything else.
they only reason I see that you would need to bleed to boost off is because you are playing out of your league. Running a huge blower on a stock motor and just bleeding to boost off. If you running a big blower, get a motor that can handle the boost, and enjoy 17psi at 6000 rpm.
