    Blower question

    Hey guys, I am wondering, with my Novi 2000 setup, when will the rpm's stop climbing if I am trying to max out in 5th gear. Obviously I can't really try it on the street, the most I've done is 120-125 mph in 4th at redline. Look at my sig. for what I've done to my car. Thanks

    Best Spark Plugs?

    Change the copper tops more like every 10K. With my blower, at 10K there is hardly anything left of them. I see you have a 100 shot, change them out every 10K.

    I was told by Chris Winters of Crazy Horse Racing in NJ that for every 1/10 you take off your 60 foot time equals 2/10 off on your ET. He knows what he's talking about, having taken 100's of runs down the strip in his 600hp Cobra. I personally don't know if this is true or not.

    OK, nice!! Really good 60 ft. time too, that is crucial in getting a good ET. I race on tracks, not strips, I run my 1989 Porsche 928 S4 on these tracks.

    Please,I 'm 56 yrs. old and have been racing for 30 years. I did not know he was running 26" - 28" tires. I assumed he was on stock tires. I realize tire size changes gear ratios. So back off, I was respectful in my 1st post to the guy, you should grow up and do the same.

    Supercharger ??

    my Novi 2000 has a nice whine to it. If I am going about half throttle in any gear she'll start screaming until I shift into the next gear. Then she starts to scream again until I hit the next gear, and so on. I think it sounds very intiminating, and the looks from bystanders alone is worth it...

    NGK iridium vs platinum

    For my blown Mustang, I use Autolite 764's gapped at .035. Cheap copper tops that cost 18 bucks for 8, and change them out every 6000-8000 miles. These are what Paxton recommends.

    About 121-123 mph in 4th redline with 373's Bro, I usually trap out at 112-117 in the quarter, that's why I think 373's are perfect for a blown Mustang.

    What he said. I have one of those accelerometer units and recently I was fooling around with it. My car hit 100mph in 9.55 seconds, but I have been driving it with the blower on it for so long it doesn't seem that fast anymore. But it be.

    This is a bit unusual, but I just put in a Borg Warner " Power Brute" clutch in my blown '03 'Vert, $720 installed, and it grabs like a MoFo.

    I know that the '03-'04 Cobra's were underated by Ford at 390 hp, but I would like to know where did you get all that hp from a couple simple mods?? 480 hp at the wheels??? That's nearly 560 hp at the motor. I don't think Ford underated them by 170 hp. Most stock Cobra's dyno at around 360-370...

    Spark Plug Blowouts

    You can still drive it, but it will be loud as hell, so get into 5th gear as soon as possible. I had to drive mine 50 miles to my tuner, Crazy Horse Racing, when my #5 plug let loose. Make sure you unplug the fuel injector so you won't be shooting raw fuel into the cylinder. Just take it easy...
