Finish building my 427SBF, dyno it and set it in the car. Build the "spare" 408 short block to sell. All before Miral valve replacement/repair. Jury still out on when that will happen.

Blue strap means to much timing! I would replace plugs (atleast the blued ones) and pull atleast 2 degrees, test again. A carb will be inherently rich, put cats on if you want it to smell better.
Tune for leanest cylinder...
Following for my 430cid SBF NA in my 92. Has had a carb since I bought with the 331cid so starting with a carb on the new engine build, but did buy a super victor EFI with intentions of going EFI later, ports will be plugged for now. There is no EFI wiring left so will need to make or buy a...
That sucks man! Please weigh carefully the difference in price between what you buy and custom!
Remember if you stick some used POS in, or cheap off the shelf lifters and you have to do a partial or complete tear down. You will be money ahead with custom with the correct supporting parts...
Just make sure block and head are flat and you will be fine. MLS might have a Ra requirement just make sure head and block are in spec on that, any reputable machine shop can measure that.
If you are staying NA, deffinently stick with the thinner HG. You should be targeting quench under ~ .045, .060 is to much., unless you are spinning 9K then maybe .045 -.050.
Wow this is the first time I have seen a 8.2 making a smige over my 331 I was at 469rwhp, block lasted 11 years. Cracked #2 main boss and cracked the eagle crank, turned as high as 8400rpm. Now building a 427 Maxx 4 bolt block and Molnar rotating assembly.
Can someone tell me what the thread size is on the temperature gauge coolant sensor for my 92? I believe they are the same from 86-93.
After having my car apart for 3 years I have misplaced the damn sensor and want to know if it is 3/8 or 1/4 pipe thread.
Thanks!

New Diamond 4.135" pistons coated at Line 2 line. Be bringing them to the machine shop on Monday to finish machining. Hope to be building the short block in the next month or so.
Stepped 1-3/4" to 1-7/8" with 3" collectors, ceramic coated, off my 92 Fox 331cid. They sat pretty low so added skid plates, could be for 351 not sure.

Buyer pays actual shipping. But prefer local pickup. $850.
Original Ford core 1" rebuilt and purchased for a Carrol Shelby Cobra kit car, used for about 1 year and removed to change to different brake setup. Taller reservoir installed off a F150, can be swapped back it desired by removing roll pins. I don't have the Cobra or mustang reservoir...
I am in a similar situation with my heads. The AFR 205's are 58cc due to the 331 set up. So to run them on my on the 351 block using a 4" crank with 6.250" rods. To get to the target compression of under 11:1 my machine shop found a off the shelf Mahle 4.040 piston with 26cc dish. That puts...
Another update, Machine shop is slowwww on the spacers for running a 2.75 Molnar crank in the 351 block. Apparently the conversation bearings are out of stock, so he is using a Cleavland race bearing, has to cut the adapter for that bearing tang which is different then the conversion bearing...
