    My new project! (pics)

I finished it up this morning. I got it inspected and put about another 15 miles on it. No problems yet. I think I might take it to my GrandDads tomorrow.

    My new project! (pics)

I put the transmission back in last night after work. I was going to just get it bolted up to the engine, and get the crossmember up and leave it at that, but I felt like I was having good luck so I kept working. I ended up getting a lot done. I just need to put the dipstick tube back in, put...

    My new project! (pics)

I haven't posted in a while because I've been kind of pissed off. I drove this thing around for about 20 miles Sunday, highway, and stop and go, cruising around town. I didn't have the single slightest issue with this car. No stumble from the carb, no over heating, no shifting problems...

    My new project! (pics)

Well, I have to say that no one should ever put 205/40's on a 17x8 wheel. It looks so stupid! At least it doesn't rub, lol! I'm thinking of selling them and going a tad bit bigger. In other news, it only took 14 hours, a ton of mods to a 68 Mustang brake light switch, and a whole hell of a lot...

    My new project! (pics)

So I've had front tire rub problem. I've found that a 205/40/17 is the most narrow/shortest tire that's recommended for a 17x8 wheel. They are getting put on tomorrow. I've got my turn signals working. I only have my brake lights to go (I'm on to a solution here with this) so I should be able to...

    Today's sealing and gasket technology.

I like to use Fel-Pro's Permadry Plus gaskets for the oil pan and valve covers. They install dry, they are rubber with metal sandwiched in the middle. They also have metal grommets around the bolt holes to prevent over tightening. They're great, and re useable. As for sealer with paper gaskets...

So to sum it up, here's what I've done (roughly in the order that it was done) New 68 Mustang dual reservoir master cylinder New front drums, shoes, cylinders, spring kit, adjusting kit, hoses. 91 302 H.O. engine, with my spare Performer RPM intake, spare 1405 carb Re-used stock manifolds and...

    My new project! (pics)

Thanks everyone! I'm glad that some of you enjoy this. This is special to me because it's like a family hierloom. I don't remember this thing running or riding in it, but my older cousins/aunts/uncles, etc., remember this car very well. So it kind of exciting for me. Today I put in the new...

    My new project! (pics)

I just drove it up and down the road a couple of times. It runs great but I think I have issues with the rear brakes. I'm working on that now. It kept locking up the tears. It felt like the park brake was on, but when I pulled it and.released it nothing happened so I think it was stuck. I just...

    My new project! (pics)

Tonight I bolted the exhaust back up, and put the radiator back in. Thankfully it doesn't leak. I let it run for a while with the exhaust up, and that thing is as quiet as a new car! I kinda like it. I also found out that the original temp gauge works great still too. I just let it run for a...

    My new project! (pics)

I think I may have it painted early next year. The husband of one of my co-workers is a painter, and he offered to really hook me up on a paint job because he likes the car so much.

My original radiator that I had fixed has 3 leaks in it :nonono: I'm about to go pull it back out to take it back to the shop. I'm also ordering my new fuel sending unit tonight. Then it should be ready to roll.

    My new project! (pics)

If anyone is still reading this................. Well, today I ran the fuel line and hooked up the fuel pump. Last weekend I worked out the pulleys, belt, and fan, and so today I started it and really let it run for a while. I know it's a new"er" motor (91 G.T. 5.0 H.O.), but tonight was the...

    My new project! (pics)

Well today I put a battery in to see what all was wrong with the electrical. I only had to extend two wires to the solenoid that mice ate. It's been sitting since 82 or 83, and all the lights still work except the turn signals and brake lights, and the horn still works great too. I think a...

A few pics from the races at the airport.

As part of a big car show weekend here, they put on a race Sunday at the local county airport. I had a blast. Here's a few pics of me about to race a friend of mine in his race car. I have some vids also, but I can't figure out how to get them from my phone to youtube, or from facebook to...
