    Emissions Info

WHenI took emissions 3 yrs ago my HC allowed was 99 and I passed with 96. last year they dropped it to 90 and I failed wit 93. So I leaned it out and did some creative things and it passed with 63 on the HC:D but I almost failed on my CO cuz of the "creative tuning." THey dont bother us about...

    What Gauges to get???

how do you go about installing new gauges in the factory cluster? I was planning on just getting a real water temp and real oil pressure gauge on the a-pillar but if I can redo the gauges in the stock cluster I would not mind redoing doing all the gauges, I need a speedo that reads faster than...

    Brembo Kit Arrives!!! =*PICS*=

Thats what I said...:D Also, those $3000 brake kits use 1.25" by 13" or 14" rotors, the cobra rotors that come with cobra brakes and the cobra r brembo kits are 1.1 by 13" so there noticably thicker (.15") than the stock style rotors and the cooling vanes down the center are smaller which...

    sportsman heads

I prefer aluminum heads, but I road race so weight distribution is very important to me. Aluminum heads will save 50# off the front end.

    H/C/I w/nitrous or BOOOOOOST!

If you not in a hurry to do this I can post up my afr 185/performer rpm II/FTI custom grind dyno numbers when I get it tuned. It may be a little while tho...(like a month or 2). I'm short on a few cubes but have a much higher CR than you so it should even out.

    95engine, 92 tranny

Im confused are you putting a 95 motor in a 92 w/ 5 speed? Or are you trying to attack a 92 T-5 to a 95 motor and installing it in ca car?

Unusual Timing issues - could I have the distributor out 180?

Yea I figured that....when you said you put a pen in there to get TDC I figured you were a few degrees off. The only way to get those adjustable ones dead nuts is if you have the head off the motor and you actually see the piston at TDC. Remember the piston moves very little over 4 deg. of crank...

Clutch pedal freeplay. HISSIN, KILLERCANARY, FINAL5-0, GCOMFX, BLACKVERT and others

Zero lash is ideal but it can be difficult to tell where zero lash is, when the clutch cable is near zero lash wiggling it wont tell you much as its hard to differentiate between cable tension and cable stiffness. I would say to just have a tiny bit of free play in the pedal to be on the safe...

Do they make a rear strut tower brace for our vert s?

Steeda seems to make one now. But honestly...the way the solid axle articulates doesn't put a whole bunch of load on the shock towers. I wouldent really bother with it.

Unusual Timing issues - could I have the distributor out 180?

If the dist. was 180 deg out, your car would barely run let alone accelerate. But if you wasnt to be sure you could pop off the dist. cap (with the wires and everything still connected) and pull the rotor out and install it 180 deg. around from its current position. have you checked the...

WOW pokageek peak hp @ 4650rpms...thats like having the powerband of a stock motor:rlaugh: .I know how you feel tho I had a mild cam in my 331 and it was peaking out at 5200 rpms :( ...but it pulled to 5800 ok. I just got my cam from ED installed and now the thing bounces of my rev limiter at...

    new head = oil leak

If you were leaking oil from the head gaskets trust me you would have other signs besides the oil leak. I would say back of the intake manifold also, but the VC gasket is also another good posibility. Did you retorque the intake manifold after a few heat cycles? You might be able to stop the...

    msd ignition

You don't replace the distributor unless its bad. Any aftermarket ones are no better than OEM, reman. is prolly worse. Just get a new distributor cap and rotor about $20. I would look at summit racing to compare prices for the msd wires and coil. Those are both good quality pieces. I would...

    battery relocation hook-ups

I ran my new battery cable from the trunk to the starter, and used the existing (underhood) wire that went from the battery to the starter to connect the starter to the power distrubution box. In this way the starter wire run to the battery is as short as possible (i.e. not going from trunk to...

    WHAT HAPPENED?

Sounds like your quadrant is failing. It seems you adjust it to get it proper and under heavy load it looses its adjustment. I would just get a new FWA and Quadrant kit. If you are using a stock cable and its in good shape...keep it.

    Noob with a few questions

Still its a nice camaro.:nice: Its also not a turd-gen(a camaro guy actually told me that one:) ) so the build quality cant be that bad. Do you know what kind of tremec it has....cuz Tremec now makes the T-5's. Just dont wanna see you blow that thing up right after you buy it.

    Vibration in front end.

 Maybe check your wheel bearings...Sounds like you have a lot going on there. If something is moving and rattling against the body it could be lateral force related (ie. when you turn). Nah..it wouldent be wheel bearings if its making no noise. Could tailpipes or some part of the exhaust...
