    Check to make sure both electrical connectors are pushed togather tight. It's hard to get your hand in there so maybe you did not get them seated all the way?

    I got this kit (from Currie) on both the 68 and 93 and both have functional parking brakes. They work good and easy to install. I am running the stock 14" rims on my 68 so some minor grinding of the caliper was required.

    Yes, because if the compression test shows that all cylinders are good than the intake gasket would be the only thing left.

    Maybe you ought to troubleshoot if further before you tear into it. I would perform a compression test to confirm a blown head gasket. It could be a blown intake gasket. Good Luck

    70 Gas tank in a 67

    I put a 70 model tank in my 68 with no issues. The filler neck needs adjusted like mentioned above and you need a sending unit for the 70 model tank to get your fuel gage to register "full" correctly.

    What are your plugs gapped at? The spark could be blowing out at the higher rpm's causing the high speed miss. Reduce the plug gap and see if it goes away.

    How BAD is this?

    Those look like forged pistons and the flaws are porosity in the aluminum. It should not hurt anything other than create little "hot spots" once in a while when/if you run the A/F lean.

    Crankshaft main bearing clearance = 0.0005"- 0.0015" Rod bearings = 0.0008" - 0.0015" Note these are "stock" Ford engine specs. Racing motors may have more clearance so see engine builder for their actual specs.
