    creaking noise in front end?

Knock on wood, I cut a slit in the boot and filled it with white lithium grease once and it never sounded off again. But now that I said that it'll start up next time I drive the thing.

    creaking noise in front end?

yeah dude, if you turn the wheel at a stand still and hear the creek, it's the ball joints at the end of the steering tie rods. Ford graciously did NOT supply grease fittings to the stock mechanicals.

    Finally broke 13sec and 100mph!

Well, It may be "nit-picky", but removing that bar on the MAF would cause a slightly lean condition. If you dont want to replace them now, I guess you could just get an adj. pressure regulator and pump up the pressure a couple pounds. That would probably be the cheapest way to solve a...

    Finally broke 13sec and 100mph!

I'd say a MAF would help a ton. At least take the screen out of the stock unit and clean the sensor wires, maybe they are dirty and you're running a bit lean???

    Smoked Chrome Wheels??

YES!! This is what I'm talking about! Only I was thinking more black in it... Like These: Probably costs a fortune to get it, but it just might be worth it.

    Smoked Chrome Wheels??

Haha, I could do that, but the fronts would be way darker than the rears. Plus when it rains there are streaks everywhere. Hotcoat (by Eastwood) makes a Chrome Smoke powdercoat color. I was actually thinking of buying the kit and doing my wheels with it. I just want to see some pictures...

    Smoked Chrome Wheels??

Hey guys, I've been looking around lately for some info on Smoked Chrome powdercoating or other types of coatings in that color for wheels. I think my car would look good if I had my stock cobra's done in a smoked chrome finish. Does anybody have pictures?? I searched high and low. Maybe...

    How old is everyone?

Ah, U of M? Nothing but engineers out there (half sarcasm). I hope you declare soon, unless you want to go to school for 5 or more years (which is not a bad thing by any means). DAMN dude! This is what I'm talking about: 7 an hour and you have all that Twisted wedge stuff??? What kind of...

Why do i need a larger fuel pump for nos?

yes, "WAY lean" might be an understatement, haha. I'm with you Black70Fastback. Nitrous = N2O, as in 2 Nitrogen and 1 Oxygen molecule. Alone, Nitrous is NON-flammable. With that Oxygen molecule, you are effectively adding a ton more burnable oxygen to the Air/Fuel Mixture. To...

Why do i need a larger fuel pump for nos?

Detonation is usually cause by a lean condition, or not enough fuel. The regulator is vacuum controlled. WOT causes the regulator to pump up the psi to provide the proper amount of fuel to the injectors. The Nitrous kit intervenes with this vacuum control, and when the nitrous is...

Q's about Zex Kits, Please inform!

I have no idea. Maybe someone who frequents the track with Nitrous can respond??? I am curious as to why you ask, balderman, since you already have a blower? EDIT: Taken from the other nitrous thread currently going on this board posted by gcomfx.com: "75 shot would last me about 16...

Q's about Zex Kits, Please inform!

Nah, It's called a pressure regulator because no matter how much flow is getting to the regulator from the pump, it always shows the 35 psi (or whatever the stock setting is) to the injectors. Any excess fuel is routed back to the tank via the return line. I have a 255 pump and have...

Q's about Zex Kits, Please inform!

Yeah, I use mine sparingly (haven't been to the drags yet) and I only go through a bottle in a summer. For the 100 shot or more, I'd say a fuel pump would be some well spent insurance. You don't need a regulator, but if you want to fine tune the A/F on a dyno with the N20 you might want...

    something a little different

corvette killer, how much did the powdercoating cost? I have a White 94 and think that some gunmetal grey would look pretty good on my stock cobras.

Q's about Zex Kits, Please inform!

I still have my Zex on. Yeah I thought about a used supercharger but unless you are willing to pretty much double the investment on the supporting equipment a blower needs, the Nitrous starts to look really good. Oh yeah, It's like 45 bucks for a 10lb bottle now. 100 shot is plenty. You...

    cobra owners here

I bought it to enjoy it. Plus owning a car that formerly resided in Detroit, I gotta drive this thing before it rusts out from underneath me.

    rusted bolts...losing patience

I agree, but you should still lube them up the day before. I tried to take them off with an impact and ended up twisting half the stud off. OH, and if you do have an impact, get a bunch of extentions and a CV joint for it.
