    Air Shocks...

My 74 had single wheel squeel, air shocks, and traction bars. Even with 60 series Kelley supercharger tires I could fry them. Instead of wasting money on air shocks, what about slicks? slapper bars? or a posi?

Oooh oooh, a new person to hate!

I guess alot of hot rodders like the "wooden steering feel", since they still use mustang II suspension or variables of it!! What an ass-munch, yeah, too simple minded to try and edumacate the fool.

    Production Statistics ??

I looked at a 78 white cobra with the green billboard style stripes ( tri color) but it had a v-8 in it . I think they are rare, and I would have bought it but it was in terrible shape and the guy would not let it go for less than $ 2000.00:eek:

    Mustang II oil pan/ DRIVEWIRE

Hi guys, I had seen a post on here about someone buying a II oil pan from drivewire . Unfortunately I cannot find it or I would e-mail them directly. MY question is this, IS It THE RIGHT ONE?? The pic on the website is wrong( standard pan) and $ 46.00 or so is cheap for a new pan. I would like...

can you use mustang headers on a 71 pinto?

The last swap I had seen, had the headers on pointing to the front! From there they collected and made a nice U and went back under the crossmember. This was a 71-72 pinto. I doubt the headers would fit.Pintos are so much smaller than II's. LMK how you make out? What about a stock set of...

    lowering

You could buy fox body springs like I did. ( 86 GT v-8 ) Then proceed to cut, install , remove ,cut ,reinstall. The springs are fairly inexpensive from autozone or advance. 1 wrap, or coil equals about 1 inch. But a word of caution, after the first wrap comes off, reduce cutting to half a coil...

    lowering a bit?

Dropping the rear would take some weight off the front but it would be miniscule. If it is on the right side (rub) It could be worn parts and alignment issues. I put 33" X 12.50's on my explorer and they rubbed till I had it aligned. The caster on the right needs to be moved as far forward as...

Mustang II, a Forgotten American Icon

I do not know what you have been reading but the *** that designed the 05 for Ford ,retro styled fom the 67-68 yr -body style. The 79 model yr and early 80 fox bodies did not look the mustang part, but that platform was,or has been around a long time, they are light and fun to drive, easy to...

Mustang II, a Forgotten American Icon

This is bull*%#@ Why do II owners always say this??? :nonono: IF Ford had stopped producing the mustang in 74, do you seriously think they could not, or would not, bring it back?? They did it with the t-bird. There is talk of the bronco ( which the explorer/expidition replaced) Chevy is...

"My friend has a dodge like that"

Spinning tires is not a show of horsepower, just lack of traction. My ladder bar suspension in my II, hooks up better than the 4 link that was in my PRO steeter. It is all about setup. :D

"My friend has a dodge like that"

WOW , I almost bought a 96 Years ago. Guess I am drawn to what some view as the underachievers! They do make awesome sleepers though. I lost count of the cars I spanked in my74 coupe.
