    Dano.... Dano who?

Yeah it's good top see you around. I have to say i'm not over here near as much as I used to since things here are quiet. I spend more time at the .net site, as it seems to be where the majority of the II owners hang out. But I still pop in here and to check out what's up and post any progress...

    AOD installed!

Thanks guys. I did a lot of planning and gathering of parts before I actually started the install. I didn't have many suprises. Except for the fact that the Hedman headers actually almost fit. I was ready and perpared to build new headers from scratch. I'm glad I didn't need to. Tim

Here are the modified headers and everything in is final place. I couldn't get things to fit with the Aluminum pan so I went tback to a stock pan with a drain installed. Tim

    AOD installed!

I had to do a little trimming on the rear bracket support. I figured I would but until I have everything in place. I didn't know how much. The final fit is exactly how I'd hoped it would turn out. Once I do a little clearancing on the tunnel at the top for the bell I'll be able to get a mount in...

    AOD installed!

OK I have lots of pictures. All the AOD bolt bosses are thicker and the bolt heads would have caused clearance issuse at the top of the firewall. So I did this to the top two bell bolts. Here is what I did to move the crossmember back the 2 1/2 inches for the AOD mount. I've seem...

    AOD installed!

AOD install complete! Oer the last 6 months I've aquired and made all the parts to rebuild and install an AOD in my Cobra behind the windsor. It has been an interesting adventure. to say the least. I rebuilt the AOD front to back and installed the 4R70W gearset for the wide ratio (lower) 1st...

    Help.need headers for 302-C6 in 77

To be honest there isn't a 302 based motor made that a properly built C4 transmission wouldn't be able to handle. I'm all about being different. (Or I would have a Mustang II). But a c6 is being different and make things harder on yourself. With nothing really to gain but weight (the C6 is much...

    Vacuum resevoir replacement?

Any single port canister will function fine then. And yes you are correct the vents will do strange things if you have no vacuum reserve. like at "mashed gas pedal" everything flops open to heat on the feet... In the summer that's no fun. Been there, replaced the can! I got mine out of a local...

So, who's working on what these days?

Currently doing an AOD swap in place of the C4 that is there now. The I've built and upgraded the AOD internals and did a low ratio gear swap in it. I've got most of the minor issues wrapped up just need to install it and then build headers around it. Transmission Specs: 93 T-bird 3.8 V6...

    Vacuum resevoir replacement?

I got a larger one "Hi-C can sized" from a 80's Ranger fit in the stock bracket with no probelm . The correct one has 2 ports on top. There is a second one that has ony one port but you will have to get the vacuum check valve to use it and redo some line as well. Tim

    chrome strips

There is a difference in the glass. The Coupe glass is straighter accross the top than the 2+2 glass. Why would ford have differenet #'s fo the glass if it wasn't the same. I've also used a Coupe glass in my Cobra until I found the correct glass, it just seals MUCH tighter in the upper back...

    c-4 tranny

Everything I've seen and read is unless your racing it you probably don't want the kevlar bands. From what I understand they are too tough and don't break in quick and work as well for the street. As far as the clutches I've not heard anything bad about the red's. For the servo's the "A" has the...
