What the heck is a oil separator?

Can you get new hoses for the breather, specifically the one from the breather to the PCV valve? The one that was on my motor is all cracked and hardened. Brian

oh I love it when ppl think a 5.0 in a mustang is the only way to go.

Marauder was a 4.6 and didn't come out till '03. I think you mean the Explorer/Mountaineer SUV's. Brian

    Speedo swap?

    Yes. Brian

oh I love it when ppl think a 5.0 in a mustang is the only way to go.

Personal biases aside, there is a reason why the 5.0 is one of the pinnacles of performance of automotive history. I would really like my next Mustang (in addition to my LX) to be a black/black '86 5.0 5spd notchback, and then go crazy with it (NOT a daily driver). Until then, I'll play with my...

    Speedo swap?

If the gauge is from the right year ('87-'89, '90-'93), then yes, it's pretty much plug and play. Brian

    Trip checklist

If your car is in decent running condition, you really shouldn't need much of anything. A couple years ago, I was driving 120 highway miles per day for three solid weeks, and never had to do anything but fuel up every three days. You should be fine with the very basics. Brian

    Turbo Upgrade

Yeah, because you see so many Cummins motors at the JY. :p eBay would be a better bet, but you'd need a lot more knowledge and fabrication skills than you obviously have right now to use it properly. No offense, but that's the way it is. Brian

    Dual exhaust

My custom catback with polished LX tails and DUAL (ahahaha) Dynomax mufflers ran me $185 installed, parts and all. I happen to think an LX looks better with duals, freakin, so deal with it. My buddies' SVO's both have single pipes and they work on those cars, but to me an LX just doesn't look...

    Dual exhaust

5.0 headers will not fit a 2.3 - they're *completely* different engines. Please rephrase the first question, I have no clue what you were trying to say. Brian

UPR Products: The Truth & The Myths

I forgot about my adjustable quadrant and FWA - they're not bad pieces. Brian

UPR Products: The Truth & The Myths

I have their billet e-brake handle and it was an okay piece, but I'm not running it anymore because it kinda interfered with the operation of the e-brake. I also have their subframe connectors, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. When I ordered them off UPR's website, they charged me $30...

    Dual exhaust

Just go get a Y-pipe from an exhaust shop, the one that did my exhaust a couple years ago had one in stock. It's not a terribly "precise" part, so you don't have to have this certain particular exact one. Brian

The thread of the nicest FOXES!

My car is at least a 20-footer, IMO, but here are a couple of pics I took yesterday. Brian

I flew an acrobatic plane today!!!

Sweet! I flew Cessnas for a summer a couple years ago, but ran out of time, money and motivation before I got my private. Long story. You should definitely get some video. :D Brian

    Should I?

I wouldn't do 'em myself, but I like the stock blackface gauges. Hell, I even got blackface boost and oil pressure gauges because I know I'm not gonna be swapping to whiteface for a long time, if ever. Your choice, though. Brian

    New wheels are on

Zip it, mine took me a solid week. :p J/K, they look good. :nice: Get the front clearanced for the centercaps and it'll be sweet. BTW I have ponies with good rubber for sale if anyone wants 'em. ;) Brian

    MAF on a 1990 LX?

That's what I thought too, but then I found a red notch at the junkyard that has black trim (not body color, i.e. pre-'91), single plug (distributor), and MAF. 'Splain that one. Brian

    ebrake handle swap

I have one out of an SN95 V6, and it did not require modification. Works great, I just need to remember to get under the car sometime and take up some slack from the new cables stretching. Brian

    Help choosing an intercooler?

I paid $125 for a big NPR. Keep an eye out in your local yards and on eBay, and you should be able to find something. Brian
