DIDNT MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Argh. TBH is is frustrating. No change. 9psi loss in static (vac off plugged) pressure during a simple rev. I also have about a 5 psi differential between the transducer mounted in the reg, to the mech guage at the stock location. Regardless though, I see the...

    Electrical 1987 Map Light

These things are prone to corroding internally. You need to split them apart by melting the plastic tabs so it will release the little pivot. Sand the contact down inside, then reassemble, remelt the plastic tabs and it should work

    Foxbody trans swap

Do you have a photo of the trans? Or maybe at least one under the car? Might be some visible clues to ID it. So car is no crank right now? DO you hear the solenoid clicking? Does the starter at least try?

Well i actually did pretty good on the Aeromotive. Got it off Amazon for ~$200 from the Aeromotive store because I could get it next day. Sold as new, arrived opened up (typical Amazon). I bitched at Amazon and they knocked $65ish off for sending me an opened part that someone had put teflon...

I have taken it apart. I rebuilt it with a new diaphragms Even the vac port. The stock vac connection doesn’t reach it. Now I need to scrounge up a new line. I feel this could have been done better .

New reg installed. I didn’t have the right assortment of fittings to attach my transducer however so had to order an adapter. Why couldn’t aeromotove just offset the vac port 45 degrees ? Not a fan of the red on my engine setup, so I really hope the intake obscures this. Also, do NOT use...

Mustang5L5’s progress thread - Rear window fun

Well I fired the parts cannon. I bought a brand new Aeromotive FPR that has a port to add a pressure sensor. This will cross FPR off the list for good. Plan is to install the transducer at the regulator and put my mechanical at the stock location where the transducer currently is. At this...

Guage was the right setting. But changing it did nothing. I don't think this menu affects much since my pump is an on/off type and not PWM controlled

I messed with a bunch of settings in MS, and nothing changed how the transducer read. I changed a bunch of stuff here to wild numbers and it made no difference. 29, 39, 79psi. All the same I took the pressure sensor off the car and plumbed it into a gas cylinder I have. I then used a...

Oh boy EDIT: I dont have fixed set here, but I need to understand what vac referenced means. Let me go back to the base tune and probably match those settings EDIT2: Base tune is the same other than pressure set to 42psi. Let me change a few settings and see if this changes any readings...

Interesting....I need to sit back and digest that a little. But it made me realize I set this menu up here. I assumed this would not do anything since my pump is not PWM controlled. Now i wonder if it is doing something here.... But it made me

Found this in my logs. I want to put this here just so i have a record of it and it doesn't get lost. This was with the vac line off and capped. So fuel pressure was static 39psi For those not familiar with megalogviewer, the blue verticle line is the snapshot in time and to the right are...

The gassy oil is prob the tune. I’m a little rich at idle and have spent way too much time idling the car dealing with this. I was working on leaning this out when I found my issue I've tried a mech gauge and a few transducers. They all show the same. I have another mech gauge I'm going to...

Swapped the injectors out. No change. By that i mean i see the exact same behavior when I key prime and run the pump. Key prime goes to the same pressure (29psi) and then drops and holds at 23.3psi. I've been seeing these numbers for months now so they are drilled into my mind what I...

I just changed the oil, and it smelled gassy. It could be from all the cold/starts and not fully warming up while i sort though this. It also smells rich in the garage, but my AFR at idle is only 13.8 because any leaner get lopey. FOund some fuel in the intake as well when I pulled it. Coud...

For the hell of it I dumped all my symptoms and everything I did into Copilot and just wanted to see what it came back with. I gave it a pretty detailed/extensive list of symptoms and what i've done. It said injectors. :pop: Thing is i can't run the engine unless I get adapters since i...
