    Do you have a pic. Im not sure the engine could actualy sit that much farther back in the engine bay. The fire wall is pretty close.

    Kinda depends on the fan spacer people use adn teh size radiator. When i had the stock fan and spacer it was about a half inch from my radiator. I a had a 3core rad in at that time.

    I wondure what thoughs heads would do on my engine. Anybody want to venture a guess. I have a victor Jr intake, trw pop up pistons, 12.5 compresion, comp cams roller rockers, cam with specs of (duration IN 300, EX 314) Lift (IN .600, EX .593) Lobe spep of 106 degrees, heavily reworked heads...

    I dont care for it to much either, if he wants the late model fender flare, tell him to buy a late model car. I think it would be awsome if nobody could tell the difference frome this car and any other 65 66 mustang from the outside.

    Raise the shock towers!!! :shrug: I dont think he is making a snow plow out of the car. IF the shock towers are raised teh whole front of the car would sit alot lower, and who knows what else it would do to the handling caracteristics.

    I have absolutely no clearence issues. Well i take that back i am using a lakewood scatter sheild for a late model mustang, so i had to put a small ding in one of the pipes. Not enough to cause any real flow loss. But when i had the old bellhousing in it fit perfect.

    Sorry i mean just the pistons, but he doesnt have a forged crank in teh 289 so either way i thought the 302 would be a better canidate. Especialy since they are known to be fairly bulet proof with just adding ARP hardware (of course so would the 289 with forged pistons).

    Im sure we could all home build a sbf with more power than 550 and still have enough money to buy a nice strong tranny and rear. But then again it would probobly rip our cars in half, but it would be fun.

    If the 5.0 runs. I would drop that in it. Its got forged internals, so you woulnt have to worry about the bottom end for a while.

    Hooker super comps is the way to go. In my opinion at least. I never had a single problem with them, they fit perfect and look good.

    You know i have to agree. I loved the car in the movie, but now since they sell them prebuilt and stuff. It drives me nuts. ESPECIALY SINCE THEY'RE FREAKING SELLING THEM AS SHELBYS. the more i know about that man, the more i dislike him.
