Tools you prefer for floorpan replacement

Hey guys, getting together my tools/parts needed for a floorpan replacement, and was wondering what tools your guys really liked/needed besides a welder/spot weld cutter? Sawzal or metal sheer? Most sheers seem to claim they only cut up to 18 gauge, and some repo floors are 16 gauge? Wonder how...

Couple EFI to CARB swap questions...

Already have those diagrams. And already have all my msd components wired together (not using a stock coil, or distributor). I just was wanting to make sure that the red/lt green wire coming out of the driver side harness was to the stock ignition coil. Thanks anyways for the diagrams.

Couple EFI to CARB swap questions...

I've gotten away from the electrical part of build, and am now just getting back into it again. I found this thread, and my post in it, and I am still wondering what "ignition hot" wire you guys are tapping your 6AL boxes into? Is it the red/lt green wire that is in the harness/connector on the...

    My nuts are stuck...

well. I got my nuts off :) A six foot pipe was not an option, as I'm doing this swap in my garage on jackstands by myself. I sadly had to cut my darn nuts off with a cut off wheel. I used the wheel with a small disk to cut a slit through the nut (and some bolt threads), sprayed on the liquid...

    My nuts are stuck...

hey guys. I know its been a while since I've posted in the classic's forums, but my nuts are stuck and I need some help.:Zip2: The car is an 89, and I cannot get the two (left and right) upper control arms off because the nuts/bolts that go through the arm, and through the chassis are stuck...

    FordRacing throttlebody, WTH ?

Summit generally is pretty good about taking things back. Check your shipping statement. It has a column for returns, and you just put your reason. They do so many orders I doubt they care.

What are some good ways to do this?

More weight loss ideas: Take out side door bars if your car does not see the street. Remove heater/ac/radio. Take out inner wheel wells (front), take off wipers, wiper motor, washer fluid/pump, smog equipment. These are really more race car things.

Front Frame Rust. Is this save-able?

Figured I would give you guys an update. The drive train (331, and the toploader) are going into an 89 LX notchback. Ill be putting new floorboards in that car within the next 2 weeks as my first project. I ended up going out and getting a mig gas welder. I figure that that will be a very nice...

    7qt pan equals...

Yep. My motor which had no oil in it (just built it up) took 7.5-8 qts. I put the filter on dry tho. So if i pre-oiled the filter, it would have been 7.5 for sure.

help me plan my build turbo 331

Just an idea...but why start with a 302? Might as well go 351, and be able to hit your hp goal with less rpms/boost. Also, CI wise, you are limited to around 347. With the 351, you can go 400+.

    64-66 discbrakeswap kit F/S BNIB

I do not believe it works with 6 cylinders due to the steering gear/tie rods. It works for 64-68 v8 manual brake cars. the kit includes: The kit includes everything needed to swap out your front drum brakes for "Granada" type OE style disc brakes. All new parts including high strength alloy...
