    how many miles are on your 99-04?

    I got a 2001 Mustang GT with ONLY 5,765 original miles on it. I ordered the car brand new and it had only 10 miles on it when I recieved it on August 24, 2001. It's still 100% all stock. I just had the 6,000 mile service done to it today.

    I used to own 2 Mustangs, but right now I am down to only one because I totalled my 2002 V6 Mustang back in Feb. 2008. I still got my 2001 Mustang GT that has less than 6,000 original limes on it. I also just bought a brand new 2008 Dodge Charger R/T Road & Track. I LOVE both of my muscles cars.

    How many miles is the average lifespan for the timing chain in a stock 2001 GT? Will the timing chain last for at least 200,000 miles if the car remains 100% stock and if it's not driven hard? I would like to know. Thanks

    Fuel Mileage

    I get only 19 to 21 mpg average in my 2001 GT and it's 100% stock. And that's from 50/50 highway/city driving.

    I think that Maaco is the best bet. Maaco has come a very long way in doing paint work on cars and I think that they do excellent quality work. They do a lot of higher end more expensive cars.

    That's what I thought too. I drove my GT again today and I did not hear anymore clunking noises underneath the back of the car. Whatever it was that I was hearing went away for the time being.
