    Did you check power steering fluid level? I don't remember what the deal was, but that has happened to me in the distant past. Kinda seems like low fluid or pump issue.

    Well, you want all of the cly to have about the same compression. That wont tell you anything if they are similar. If they are way diff it may indicate a stuck open valve or bad rings.

    How much of a Bear was it to remove the heads with the motor in the car? That is a 65/66 right? I didn't think there was enough room for that.

    Well, check out the cam like I said. Perhaps a lobe is dead and you just need to throw a new cam in it.

    I doubt a carb could cause it but stranger things have happened. How did the cyl walls look? Pull the valve covers and rotate the crank. Make sure all of the valves are opening and closing properly. You may be able to identify the problem that way.

    Could be a CAM lobe problem (shhhhhhh. knock on wood). Is this a newly built motor? Rocker adj properly, a pulled stud. Hmmm, just throwing things out there.     It also depens upon how unique you want to be. There are a million Red and Blue Mustangs. Original look cars are cool too. The Slime Greens, Baby Blues, Black colors are cool in original classic look. Oh, and my car doesn't look like this pic either. That is a photo chop. I just got a 67...

    If you are going to go through all the work required to take all of that crap apart, why would you put any old stuff back on? You will just have to replace it later, if you can even get the old worn junk back together.
