No Power, pops out back, runs hot, and Pi$$ me off

OK there is so much scattered info here about your car so forgive me if I forget a few details. The hot fuel line probably started happening around the time you started overheating, if it is overheating in the first place. The hotter air coming from the radiator is being blown by the fan onto...

    Opinions needed on Paint ideas

I'm doing what you're doing (but you knew that because I replied to your thread on VMF) so I've dug around. According to the guys on hotrodders.com and HAMB they basically DA the chrome and trim, then use build prime over it to smooth it out. In the process of body work I've spilled 2k primer on...

    Even better than emachineshop

I almost checked it out last year but we ended up getting a lot of good stuff at work like laser cutters, CNC, and sheet metal equipment so it was pointless to drive 40 minutes. I'll wait for the SF location to open. I hope it's in a decent location and not in the middle of some congested...

No Power, pops out back, runs hot, and Pi$$ me off

The clothespin myth needs to die. Explain how wood dissipates heat. Even if you clamped some heat-dissipating material around the line, all that would happen is the hot air surrounding the line would be absorbed into the fuel, making things worse. You're assuming the fuel begins at a higher temp...

No Power, pops out back, runs hot, and Pi$$ me off

Your fuel is hot and is boiling away, hence your empty filter and 3 psi at idle. So, whenever you want to replace something, ask yourself "What does this have to do with my fuel getting hot enough to boil away?" Would a bad carb boil your hot fuel away before it's even reached the carb? A...

No Power, pops out back, runs hot, and Pi$$ me off

Try what I mentioned, which is to spray water at the fuel lines and see if the pressure goes up and stumbling goes away.

No Power, pops out back, runs hot, and Pi$$ me off

Today's the first time I went into this thread and I'm amazed on all the goofy suggestions to an obvious problem. You're chasing everything for nothing. It's a vapor lock problem and nothing else, it should already been obvious in your post dated 7/31. Empty fuel filter? 3 PSI? There's your...

    Ticking noise

Use a length of 3/8" rubber fuel line as a stethoscope and poke around the engine until you find the noise. If it does it without driving, that is. Mine turned out to be a spark plug wire shorting out on a header tube.

    is it possible to carb a 06' 5.0 ?

I bought a 351c and stored it in the garage upright, facing up. The chain was so sagged you couldn't turn the engine unless it was horizontal. Imagine driving up a steep hill with that - snap! I'll have to find pics of that variable timing gear, having a hard time on Google. I think I have an...

    is it possible to carb a 06' 5.0 ?

I'm not talking about plastic timing chains that stretch, real variable ones! Are you telling me they were factory? I've seen them in old magazine ads for small block Fords and Chevys.

    is it possible to carb a 06' 5.0 ?

Magic. Anyone remember those variable cam timing gears for V8s that came out a few decades ago? Seemed like a good idea but why didn't they take off?

    HELP: ticket for loud exhaust

Just do the test. That's one decent thing of the CA exhaust law, it's no longer the cop's word vs. yours, unlike many other states that will ticket you just because the exhaust sounds louder than stock and you have no way to fight it. If it exceeds 95db then fix it. Your combo doesn't look like...

    Tokyo Drift 68 Stang on E-bay $45800!

Bad boy, they aren't supposed to say what movie it's from!:nono: Too bad it's plastered on the front and back windows.:D I'd keep it just the way it is to tick off the purists and drive it to every car show I could. Besides losing that single fart pipe sticking out the back, that is. I like...

    Sway Bar

I don't see any problems with it being angled, but the bushings can't be tightened too much or they will bind. The strut rods on mine are maxed out but they're maxed evenly so that caster is the same on both sides, so one side may be more than the other.

    Sway Bar

Hmm that does look a little extreme. My link angles almost that much but it's on an adjustable bar. When at the softest setting it would be straight up. Like you said the bar seems too short. Can you compare it to the one you're replacing? Maybe use a fabric tape measure to get the bar's overall...

What part do you need help on?

    Sway Bar

The tops are angled forward. You'll have to get us a pic. I can't take one because the car is partially disassembled on a steep driveway. No way to remove the wheel safely.

    Question about rim/rearend width

FYI 15" torque thrusts for early Mustangs use from +4mm to +6mm offset, so start with that. 14" used negative offset, about -2mm.
