    Get the right bolts. I did R&D for an engine building company. My boss said he couldn't get the right head bolts for an engine. Reused old ones as per him. Loads of comebacks. Do it right the first time.

    Yikes! Bashing in your headers is a little extreme. If you are thinking about going to go to a manual rack, the steering shaft is a lot smaller from Flaming River. However the shaft itself is not cheap. I was pisses when I found out mine would not work with the OEM shaft.

    The reason why 50/50 is higher is because they use distilled water. It prevents electrolysis. "Green stuff" is ethalyene glycol. Red stuff is propolene glycol. Not supposed to be mixed together in any way. I call that BS. Ford and Freightler have their own special coolant for diesels. Rubbish.

    IMHO you're making a bad mistake. If you can't fix the electrical problem, then you probably can't properly tune a carb'd vehicle. A lot of people will just use the "throw a carb on it" approach to solve all their problems.
