    Who has clearanced pistons in the block?

    I did this on my wifes 90lx when I put the AFR 185's on. I am sure the tool is a better way, but I clayed the piston so I had a rough idea on what had to come out. I used an air compressor with a tear dropped shaped cutter. brought the piston up to TDC then duct taped the whole top of the motor...

    That is the same technique I used in my wifes "06" 13.93@99 and a 13.83@99 and like you very happy with the ET from a bone stock auto. Nice Job!:nice:

    I would say for awhile...but you are playing with fire with the 28 spline axles. For complete piece of mind in a 8.8 and I know "The only thing holding me back is $$$ saying". This is what I do on a serious street/strip car, heavy on the strip. Put at least 31 spline axles in it. I have ford 9"...
