    How much to ask?

    hmmm....I would think somewhere between 11-12k. If this helps, I bought my 97 cobra a few months ago bone stock with 19xxx on the clock for 14,500. Its mint condition. Mods usually don't affect the price unless they are power adders such as the NOS.

    97'Cobra weak points

    Well, you shouldlook under the front bumper to see if they have bumbed many curbs while parking. That usually reflects how the car has been treated. Also, make sure the tranny shifts well in high rpm's and that reverse works good. Listen for any ticking sounds from the engine compartment...

    well, i can tell you for a fact, the '97 cobra came with a T-45 tranny to begin with, but IT SUCKS BALLS and most likely this person blew it out fast and had to put in something stronger.

    sorry---gear question

    4.30's are fine, I'm not considering 4.10's in my 97 cobra. I may even get 4.56's. Yeah, the cobras don't red line until 6800. With any of those gears, you won't be about 3k on the highway. Probaly more mid to upper 2k
