    Disc brakes with 17" wheels

:welcome: Sorry I have no useful info to offer (I'm the same same 4 wheel drum boat as you) but was wondering if you could throw up a pic of your car/wheel combo. I've always wondered how the 17 in Cragar SS would look and pics are hard to come by

    Bad motor mount?

Just need a little input since I rarely get time to crawl under my hood anymore. If when I step on the throttle and I can feel the clutch pedal lift a bit, is this evidence of a bad motor mount? I've been fighting with a vibration forever that I can never seem to chase down, entire ignition...

Steering linkage guru check this for me please

I was mentioning the eccentric to align the lower arm used on 67+, yours uses shims, I forgot which year model I was looking at :D

Steering linkage guru check this for me please

On the 3rd pic it appears that there's no eccentric on the LCA mounts. *edit* forgot what year model I was looking at, my bad

Easy 4 lug to 5 lug rear axle conversion

Just kidding, but word of mouth works better around here than an advertisement. Opentracker is a great example :nice:

    The First Mustang Project

+1 on the radiator deminsions. Were you able to cure the close clearance with brackets or is it just a tall radiator?

    Kudos to CJ Pony Parts

Delivery of my parts took so long it kinda soured my opinion of them, I needed the stuff about a month before it arrived, I doubt it was a backorder piece either :notnice:

are the 351/400M motors any good?

The 400 will require lots of time, work, and money to turn into a respectable street engine. You'd do better and cheaper to go with a windsor. When properly built the 400 is a mean little SOB, but is larger and quite heavier than the 351C, uses a different transmission, and performance parts...

sealing water pump and backing plate

Be forewarned, that yellow stuff is HARD to get off. You could remove your head bolts and seal the head down with the 3M WSA and probably keep good compression :D On the serious side, if you need to remove that gasket, be sure to have a wire wheel handy

    Suspension replacement, need opinions

Subframe connectors are on the agenda, but when I do I'm going with weld-ins, so I need to replace the floor pans first. They aren't in awful shape, but still need to bite the dust I mulled it over for a little while, and ordered pretty much the same setup you quoted. It was great doing...

    Suspension replacement, need opinions

Thanks for the input everyone. I already have the 1-piece shock tower brace & Monte Carlo bar. Would a set of solid strut bars be worth investing in for my use as well?

    Suspension replacement, need opinions

My front end is getting sloppy, all the control arms seem to be eating ball joints, the PO had mismatched UCAs (one is 3-bolt other is 4) I'm just going to replace all that crap, plus I've got the wife talked into letting me spend a lot of money. To set the stage - Car is 68 Coupe, 302 4...

    October Progress Photos

Was the trunk floor a 1-piece deal or did you have to split it into 2? I started to make me one, but kinda abandoned it due to poor fit (see-"poor planning") I got the idea how to correct it now, but all my equipment is a 7 hour drive away :notnice:

    351C 2v build up

2V = Smaller intake & exhaust ports, better low end torque. Best suited to a cruiser/weekend hell-raiser. 4V = HUGE intake & exhaust ports, lacks low end grunt, great high-RPM power. Low end power can be helped with torque plates. Best suited to low-gears, with intent on racing or at least...
