Mikes Tip For The Day. Adding A Cobra Brake Booster.

This is interesting and makes me wonder what I will do for the 85, the pedal is ok but not great with the stock booster. I dont want to bash the strut tower.

interesting, i never knew that different years had different internal drive gears. LMR calc says I have a 17 and need an 18, for 15 bucks its worth a shot! I am assuming this is the stock 85 T5 245/45/17 rear end 3.27s

I finally used my fender roller! Was rubbing a tad when the tank was full and over :poo:ty roads, I liked the stance so I rolled the lips vs raising the rear. Attempted to also get an alignment but was turned away ( no appointment ) I should have known.

So lesson learned. I didnt realize the 99+ brakes has different pads for inside and outside... SO I have 2 outside pads on the drivers side ( it worked fine ) and 2 inside pads on the passenger side( these acted like a seized pistons in the caliper caliper, brakes would not release, massive...

Been messing with the car and I am not happy with the brake pedal. I have bleed the system 3 times and each time is seems to be getting better. I haven't had this much trouble with what I assume is still air in the system before. I just want to check I am not missing anything. New Master...

That is a great set up! I have been considering adding a 4 post lift for a while now. I like your style.

Short belt installed, vacuum leak is fixed ( I think ) however my harbor freight one man brake bleeding kit left the brakes in non useable form. I will have a buddy come by and we will do them the old fashioned way. Long way to go as far as the underhood, tis still a mess boys.
