    Mine actually cracked at the flange between the number 2 and 3 cylinder on the passenger's side. I developed a nasty exhaust leak, and had to put the stock log manifolds back on the car. But hey, since then I've upgraded to turbo headers. So it's all good now.

    Why can you not get the car inspected with long tubes? I can't see how a state can make them illegal. You do have the right to mmodify your car using quality aftermarket parts. (see this) The BBK should be 50 state smog legal. As long as you get a catalytic midpipe, there should not be a problem?

    Any time you can get the air to go into an engine faster, you will need to get the air out faster as well. Opening up both the intake and exhaustof your car will give you nice gains since the effects of both will complement each other nicely. :nice:

    Save up until you can do the more logical of the two choices. As much of a pain as header installs are on 4.6L cars, you will only want to do it once. If you dont do it yourself, it will be quite expensive to have it done right. Save up the cash until you can do something like a set of BBK...

    Clarion 1000W class D amplifier pushing 2 Solo Baric 10" subwoofers. The 400W Clarion amp is powering the Diamond Audio M5 and M3 speakers on the interior. :nice:
