Or maybe because he's another one of those fools who thinks that we who reside in the FOUR CYLINDER section give a flying **** about V8 swaps. Brian

Sludge and or Carbon build-up? Funny thing happend on a road trip

BTW you need to stop your complaining about how slow your car was at 4300 feet. My car hasn't been below 4500 for years, and never since I've owned it. Hell, my local track is at 5800 ft. You want slow? Try 10,200 ft. and 90*. :( Brian

disc brakes not workin after gettin installed

Just jack the rear of the car as high as you can (chock the fronts just in case) and the MC will be level, assuming you get the rear high enough. Tilt the car to level the MC, lol. Brian

    need help with tapping noise

You can do it in a couple of hours. I had to do my HLA's last summer, they ticked like a mofo. Dropped some new ones in and it quieted right down. Just make sure you have a better valvespring compressor than an 11/16" box end. ;) Brian

    Rear end swap

Are you getting this rear from the guy up in Ft Collins? http://svo73mm.cjb.net is a good place to start for the brake side of things. The rest is just unbolting the rear from the control arms, unhooking e-brake cables and the body brake line, and detaching the driveshaft (use a torch on...

Update on my Second Turbo Swap.

It's a good idea to tighten the caps up and down the block until they're pretty tight, and then start your torque steps. That way one end of the crank doesn't get pulled down by a fully-tightened cap and throws things off elsewhere. I'm still waiting to do my first turboswap. :( Before...

Questions for Fox owners with 5 lug 4 wheel disc

Read the site again, it does say what axles to use. To clear a 9" wheel, you'll have to stay with the stock Fox track width, which means using Ranger/Aerostar axles and North Racecar caliper brackets. Read the site a few more times, you'll pick up new stuff every time. Brian

    Rear discs

Do you have the SVO rear already working well in the car? Just pull the brakes and axles off of it and put them into the 8.8 and everything will work just fine. Brian

Official Thread of Applicable Junkyard parts for Foxes

Explorers have 31-spline 8.8's, many with trac-loc and 3.73's or 4.10's. Can't use the entire rear, but you can use the guts if you have 31-spline axles. Brian

Man I will never forgive dodge and there sub companies thats in america.

I kinda like the looks of the new Charger, just not the name. I actually like most of Chrysler's latest lineup. Magnum and 300C are *gorgeous* cars, and I like the trucks and most of the SRT series. Brian

    t5 swap questions-wiring

Just cut the two-wire backup light harness from a junkyard car and match the colors to the four-wire harness on your car. The two that match need to be spliced - the others can be cut off. Brian

Guru's - Need brake setup advice, MC and such

Isn't Aerospace mostly a drag brake setup? I didn't know they had a street kit. I would actually call them and see. With four-piston calipers it seems to me that you'll need an SN95 MC, but maybe Aerospace has a special MC for you to use - I'm pretty sure Wilwood does for their setups. And...

Umm, its not a mustang but......

Nitrous. My buddy's brother-in-law put a nitrous kit on his Focus and it pulled pretty good with only a 45hp jet. The kit came with jets up to 100hp, but I never rode in it after that. Brian

    Mustang just died......

O2. :) Oxygen, not carbon monoxide. For the record, I have no idea what the problem could be. Pull codes and see if anything pops up. Brian

Need new brakes! Help with what I need??

I'm guessing the current 5-lug setup is Lincoln/SVO rotors? Your centercaps probably don't clear on the front unless you did some machining to the hub. Best bet is gonna be to get SN95 spindles (go '94-'95 since you have 17x9's) and '94-'04 Cobra rotors and calipers. You'll also need a bigger...
