    My Other Ride

John Handley High School haha It's leveled out with a 3" body lift. Thanks man! Yea these wheels are a little more tucked in that I had hoped for. The previous owner of them ran 1.5" spacers and they looked great. Once these tires wear out I'm going to switch to a 15" wheel with some...

    My Other Ride

Just a few simple shots of my other vehicle. It's a 2002 Ranger. I haven't really taken any good pictures of it lately. Most of them have just been cell phone shots since I've been really busy the past few months. Gave the truck a nice wash/wax today. Gotta keep it looking good for graduation...

    88 LX Build Log

Adjustable 1.6's. Figured the set screw(which sets the lash, correct?) was in the same spot as when I removed them so it should have been ok. Lesson learned though. For being only 18, and this being my first time doing motor work, I was just happy that it started up and didn't explode haha

    88 LX Build Log

Started it up today. I have a few small leaks like the fuel pressure gauge, small valve cover leak, and a small exhaust leak. I need to set the lash on the rockers and add about another quart of oil in it and then it should be good to go. I'd like to take it somewhere and have it actually tuned...

I Posted This In The 5.0 Forum Also But It's Relevent Here Too, So.....

I love my Tri-Ax. Compared to the stock one, it's a major improvement. The main thing that I enjoy is not missing 3rd anymore. 2nd-3rd shifting is a breeze no matter how you're driving.

    88 LX Build Log

Around noon I had it to this stage: Then I made a run to get some oil and anti-freeze and went back to work: It took me about an hour to get that distributor in there. PITA! Need to get a throttle body gasket, install that, bolt up the alternator, and double check everything and it'll be...

    Head Gasket?

Pulled the head and flipped the gasket real quick. Here's how she sits as of now: I managed to lose one of my intake bolts so I'll be ordering another one from ARP tomorrow morning and then I can go ahead and finish everything up.

    Head Gasket?

It was installed the correct way on the drivers side. I went to Autozone and looked at like 10 Fel-Pro 9333's and they were all marked the exact same.

    Head Gasket?

Talked to people at Autozone and looked at all of their gaskets which were all marked the same. I just went ahead and installed it.

    Head Gasket?

Any definite answer on if it will be ok or not? Would really like to get this thing together today. It's blocking passages on the front of the other side. What makes the other side any different?

    Head Gasket?

Head Gasket: Block: See the pattern difference? See how it's going to block off one set of cooling passages at the end of the block?

    Head Gasket?

That's what I was thinking. The only difference between the left and right sides are that the left side blocks off the front cooling passages and the right side would block off the rear cooling passages.
