Getting Ready To Buy A Teksid 4.6 Block, Many Questions On Build And Fi

Iron blocks will handle 800+ all day. If you only want 400hp there's no reason to waste $2000 on forged internals.

Getting Ready To Buy A Teksid 4.6 Block, Many Questions On Build And Fi

The teksid block has the same bell housing bolt pattern as any other 4.6 blocks. But make sure the block you are getting is not from a continental as they are fwd and will not work. Trans questions depend on what kind of power you plan on making. Lot of people do t56 swaps. I'm keeping my 5spd...

Forced Induction Time For A New Motor....???s

Well I lucked out found a termi crank from a car with 20k miles for $650 just picked that up. Will have to order the pistons in a couple weeks but couldn't pass up the crank.

Forced Induction Time For A New Motor....???s

It's only $200 on average to torque plate bore and hone around me. I know the sleeves are ok to go .020 over but I'd rather keep the metal in the sleeve if I can. I run the car pretty hard but would rather not damage a sleeve because it's worn too thin. Hopefully I'll have the funds for the...

I'm setting bar low at 600 figure I have everything apart might as well do it one time. I'd love to have 700+ so beef up everything. I talked to machine shop today I'll have my block back tomorrow and ordering pistons. I'm figuring stock bore manley 18cc dish

Forced Induction Time For A New Motor....???s

I've built sport bike motors before never tackled a motor like this and I'm planning on going for around 600hp (currently 455) so I will be swapping out the eaton for either a kb or a whipple but financially that may be waiting. My teksid block is at a machine shop now having the bores all...

Thinking About Ditching My Tork Tech For On3

I love my tork teck. Unfortunately I blew my motor couple weeks ago and am in the process of building a forged bottom end for my car. I was looking into the 2.6kb or 3.3 whipple for mine. It is a tough toss up you could always sell the tork teck setup to help fund the turbo build.

Forced Induction Time For A New Motor....???s

Ok so against my tuners warnings I ran my car pretty hard last weekend in the cold NJ air and either spun a bearing or bent a rod. Not even going to take my engine out right now as I have a teksid block prepped ready for fresh start. My main concern is pistons....I'm currently running an m112...

    Brakes Steering Wobble

No different times. It literally has been doing it for 2 years and was so minute I never bothered with it. Ended up being passenger side hub bearing. Wiggle is gone. I bought every suspension piece for the front end going to order new struts next week and completely redo front end at one time...

    Engine 700hp Block Choices....

That's very good to know. My block will be here tomorrow so ill start checking bores to make see if all the cylinders are in spec. I'm hoping I won't need to have anything bored. If so I'll have to find a machine shop in NJ that does mod motors

    Brakes Steering Wobble

Thanks I just ordered pretty much everything for the front end. Inner tie rods, tie rod ends, ball joints, poly rack bushings, and all sway bar bushings

    Brakes Steering Wobble

I've been scratching my head on this one for a while finally addressing it. My car has had a slight wobble upon initial braking pretty much since I bought it, never gotten worse. It starts under initial braking and as you increase braking pressure it goes away. I've just replaced pads and rotors...

    Engine Which Kenne-bell??

Yea they are a pretty clean look. I think the Saleens run a whipple I'm not 100% sure. I put down 410hp at 9lbs boost intercooled

    Engine Which Kenne-bell??

I like their set up because it is extremely versatile. It's a "tuner" system you can put any blower on that will bolt to a terminator. Only downside is their kit is $2200 and then you can either get an m112 takeoff from a termi for like $500 (get you a tad over 400hp at around 9-10lbs) or go...

    Engine Which Kenne-bell??

I have a tork tech kit with an eaton m112 I'm honestly not too familiar with centrifugal units. I've stuck with p.d.'s because they create power sooner and make more torque

    Engine Which Kenne-bell??

Yep you'd obviously need to upgrade injectors and maf and at least install a boost a pump for fuel demand but yea you can hit 400 to the tires no problem

    Engine Which Kenne-bell??

Any supercharger system will get you to 400hp for a "reasonable" amount of money. Just keep it under 12lbs of boost and you should be fine. Even with full bolt ons I don't think you'd get too 400hp. And you'd spend as much or more on heads long tubes cams and all the other goodies and finding a...

Issues After Intake Replacement On 96 Gt

That snaps over a the stud closest to firewall on your fuel rails it grounds rails to engine/chassis as the o-rings insulate the rails from ground. That however wouldn't cause you're running issues
