    Exhaust suggestions

Just to clear any possible misinformation: H- better low end torque + louder than no crossover X- Better mid and High end torque + quieter than no crossover The system in the picture is not mandrel bent therefore it flows at least 50% less efficient that a mandrel bent system like the...

    1997 exhaust help!!!

J, in the other topic I mention that we are notifying you guys and that I expected the prices would be fixed today. Dave should have handled it already.

    1997 exhaust help!!!

i answered this in the other topic you started. LMR has pricing mistakes on both those systems.

    PYPES EXHAUST

It's just the tailpipes. The price is drastically off because LMR made pricing mistake on both. The system with the 3" tips is too expensive and the system with the downturn tails is priced too low. We let them know and they are going to fix it soon.

    1997 exhaust help!!!

The H pipe adapter kit is not a Pypes product and we have not tested it. However, it appears like it was made for the express purpose of allowing 94-97 V6 owners to have a true dual exhaust. It looks like a decent solution.

how close are mid muffler systems to...

It really is a combination of both. For 2005 that motor had a lot of changes. Moving the mufflers to the back on any car is going to change the sound quite a bit. The Mustang was no exception. It's not necessarily a bad sound, it's just different. Pypes also has several rear muffler...

Pypes exhaust. Why no 94-97 V6 systems, but they have 98 - 04? wtf

no plans to do the earlier one at this time. However, if all you have is bad cats, we have cat delete pipes that you could replace the cats with potentially. The stainless pipes are 11" long. You'll also need two stainless band clamps or they will need to be welded. $40.

i have an california exhaust question

You are obviously a 'getter done' type of guy. A good quality to have. But a lot of people aren't that handy or experienced. It's extremely difficult to be an expert at everything. Motor Building, Body Work, Paint, Tuning and EXHAUST all require expertise AND proper tools that most owners...

how close are mid muffler systems to...

VP, That's because there are literally hundreds of combinations that will change the sound of your Mustang. Most of these changes are slight, but just like an audiophile who notices great differences in speakers, you need to determine whether your ears can and want to hear the difference! :)...

Pypes exhaust. Why no 94-97 V6 systems, but they have 98 - 04? wtf

The crossmember humps on a 94-97 are much closer together than the 99-04. The V6 X-pipe does not clear the crossmember. The crossmember is not intrechangeable on the earlier models. That is why it listed as 98-04 only.

i have an california exhaust question

I think that H is for LT headers. Seems to cheap to be for stock manifolds. Also, LMR sells prebent polished stainless tailpipes for reasonable. I think bending your own tailpipes is going to be more trouble than it is worth. Even if you bought a used catback just for the tails?

    exhaust cutouts

On a stock GT, you probably won't gain much HP. Maybe 5-6? They are mostly for the fun factor.

    exhaust cutouts

5 year warranty on the Pypes electric cutouts. If you follow the care instructions, they will seal fine indefinitely. They are the same design as the Race Ready only about 30% less. Made in Hatfield PA.

Sorry for somewhat jacking the thread but it is still very relevant to the topic starter's questions and concerns.

    upr or pypes stainless?

This is a little complicated. On the modular motor, the RH manifold has the thin metal gasket. That can and should be re-used unless it looks bad. They hold up well. To my knowledge, no exhaust company includes this gasket with their midpipes. They are available from Walker and Ford i...

    upr or pypes stainless?

The 3 piece stainless is the new version. Your problem is on the LH side. Check to see if there is a metal sleeve installed in the flared end at the manifold. If no, I'll get you one. It just drops in the top of the pipe. If yes, also look at the manifold stud. Ford used 2 different...

    upr or pypes stainless?

What version do you have. Does it have the sleeve in it? If it is the modular version and you do have the sleeve, lmk and I'll send you another downpipe to replace it.
