    Roush Question For Saleen Owners.....

No. I bleed Ford blue. I appreciate other makes and models (Corvettes, Camaros, Porsches, Vipers, etc.), but I am, and always will be, a Mustang guy.

    Roush Check this out

Yes, it is a rare car. It is only the second '86 Saleen vert for sale I've come across. But, $35k for a car with 100k on the odo and in need of a partial restoration? Factor in a quality paint job, replacement of decals, installing a correct airdam and then the usual replacement of wear and tear...

Check this out. I think the starting bid price is a "bit" optimistic.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-Mustang-1986-Ford-Saleen-Mustang-CONVERTIBLE-140-RARE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6236QQitemZ4590649323QQrdZ1

    Roush Back in Black (ouch!)

If it is an early '89, that would explain it. I've seen some early '89s sporting the '87-'88 "tri-bar" decals. I know it's been mentioned before, but it basically depended on what Saleen had on hand in order to ship the cars out.

    Roush Back in Black (ouch!)

I've seen the '95 S351 in person at a local car show. Really clean and low mileage car. I think the asking price is a bit too high, especially since it is a non-R code car.

MY04SLN MYSLEEN FLASH80 That last one was Jerry Rice's nickname. I'm a Niner fan (even though they suck right now).

    Roush N/A S351 Value

That same car was on Mark's PAS website a few years ago. From what I remember, all it had was an aftermarket stereo system. Everything else was stock and original.

    Roush N/A S351 Value

I agree with Marcus. If you really want an R-code, hold off. Deals are out there. You just have to wait and be patient. One will pop up every once in a while. I got a 17,000 mile '95 R-code coupe a few months ago for $27,000 (and it's got the '97 and T56 6-speed upgrade). However, if you are...

The only S281s to come factory supercharged in that time span ('96-'98) were the '98 SA15 anniversary cars.

Roush If you could own 1 Saleen...

I am with Robert on this one. I have been lusting after this car ever since I saw it on the front cover of an issue of MM&FF back in '97 and every time I saw it in the showroom on Whatney. Tim Allen's old RRR model would be my second choice.
